2 ‘What is in the Bundle?’

Surrogacy with Frozen Embryo Transfer pack with ‘Standard’ configuration vs pack with configuration ‘Pro’.

The standard Surrogacy packs shape the tight limits for the trials. Usually, one Frozen Embryo Transfer cycle (FET) covers only one Embryo Transfer trial and only one Embryo Transfer fee for only one surrogate mom. Surrogacy with Frozen Embryo Transfer involves the gestational carrier’s selection (one gestational carrier), the Diagnostic Screening tests for the surrogate mom (for one surrogate mom), medication for the gestational carrier (one cycle), Embryo Devitrification (one trial), Embryo Selection for the Embryo Transfer (one or two embryos are selected from the devitrified ones (one trial), and Embryo Transfer in the gestational carrier’s uterus (one Embryo Transfer trial for one FET cycle).

Surrogacy with Frozen Embryo Transfer ‘Standard’ Bundle’s cost covers:

  • gestational carrier’s selection (only one trial is covered). On the couple’s demand, the new surrogate mom can be selected for every new trial but an extra fee will be charged from the couple for every new selection trial.
  • Diagnostic Screening and testing for the surrogate mom are covered only for one gestational carrier. If the new surrogate mom is selected for Surrogacy, the new ‘Diagnostic Screening and Testing Bundle’ is purchased by the couple.
  • Surrogacy Contract issuing and notarization (only one Surrogacy Contract). For every new trial, the new Surrogacy Contract is issued and notarized but an extra fee will be charged from the couple every time the new contract is needed.
  • Embryo Devitrification cycle (one trial). If after Devitrification the Fertility Pros would need an extra embryo, the new Devitrification cycle will involve an extra fee.
  • gestational carrier’s medication and compensation for the Embryo Transfer (one trial). Every new cycle generated after the previous one resulted in the failure will involve extra fees.
  • Embryo Transfer (one trial). If after the Embryo Transfer the pregnancy is not achieved, the Fertility Pros can do one more Embryo Transfer but it will involve extra fees for doing the procedure and the compensation for the surrogate mom.
  • anew Frozen Embryo Transfer cycle is started on the couple’s demand only. To start the new cycle after the previous failed, the couple should invest in a new ‘Frozen Embryo Transfer’ pack that will be reconfigured with the current Protocol.
  • Vitrification of the devitrified embryos that won’t be used in the current FET cycle involves extra fees. The new ‘Vitrification and Storage’ pack is available for being purchased in most Fertility Clinics and Surrogacy Agencies.
  • emergencies are not covered by the standard Surrogacy programs. The extra fees cannot be estimated as everything depends on the type of complication, the Diagnostic Tests involved, the medication and medical services needed.
  • anew IVF—ICSI/IMSI/PICSI + fresh or frozen Oocyte Donation cycle is started if there is no vitrified embryo left in the cryobank. Every new IVF—ICSI/IMSI/PICSI cycle involves extra fees charged from the couple.

3. FAQ about Surrogacy with Frozen Embryo Transfer in Ukraine.

‘Can I upgrade my standard Surrogacy with Frozen Embryo Transfer to Premium?’

In most of Ukrainian IVF clinics and Surrogacy Agencies, the couple can upgrade their basic Surrogacy with FET pack to Pro with unlimited Frozen Embryo Transfer trials until no vitrified embryos are left in the cryobank. Plus, some Surrogacy with Frozen Embryo Transfer Bundles Pro may even cover one new IVF—ICSI/IMSI/PICSI + fresh or frozen Oocyte Donation cycle (Sperm Donation cycle) or IVF—ICSI/IMSI/PICSI with own oocytes and sperm + fresh Embryo Transfer that will be generated if there is no vitrified embryo left in the cryobank.

‘If I upgrade my current Surrogacy with a Frozen Embryo Transfer program to Premium, will they start my Surrogacy program from the very beginning?’

Nope, the couple’s current Surrogacy program won’t be canceled or stopped. No ‘holding mode’ will be ‘turned on’ for things that are currently in progress. The Fertility Pros will edit the basic Protocol’s configuration attaching the extras (medication, services, technics) and detaching the unnecessary ones. The couple will be charged the difference between their standard and Pro Surrogacy Bundle. The power of Surrogacy Pro is in unlimited trials and unlimited extras. Surrogacy pack Pro will save up to 90% on the new Surrogacy trials’ ‘workflow’ at a Fertility Clinic.

‘If I need an extra cycle with the Oocyte Donation, can I purchase an extra pack?’

The Fertility Pros can configure the current Surrogacy with Frozen Embryo Transfer with Oocyte Donation without canceling or stopping the couple’s current Surrogacy program. An extra IVF—ICSI/IMSI/PICSI with fresh or Frozen Oocyte (Sperm) Donation or with own oocytes and sperm will be integrated into the current Protocol. Most of the surrogacy Pro packs cover one IVF—ICSI/IMSI/PICSI with fresh or Frozen Oocyte (Sperm) Donation or with own oocytes and sperm if there is no vitrified embryo suitable for Devitrification is left in a cryobank. If the Surrogacy program does not cover an extra IVF—ICSI/IMSI/PICSI cycle, the couple will have to invest in a new IVF—ICSI/IMSI/PICSI pack.

‘What if there is no vitrified embryo left in their cryobank for my current Surrogacy with Frozen Embryo Transfer?’

If there is no vitrified embryo suitable for Devitrification left in the cryobank, the Fertility Pros suggest the couple start the new IVF—ICSI/IMSI/PICSI cycle with own oocytes and sperm or with oocyte (sperm) donation for the new embryonic cohort generation event and fresh Embryo Transfer. The new cycle will be started at a discounted cost if the couple has already completed the cycle with FET that led to failure. Plus, several of IVF—ICSI/IMSI/PICSI cycles with fresh Embryo Transfer packs may cover the Embryo Vitrification and Storage in the cryobank during one year, and at least one fee-free Frozen Embryo Transfer trial (Devitrification + Embryo Transfer). If the couple initiates the IVF—ICSI/IMSI/PICSI with Oocyte (Sperm) Donation, fresh or Frozen Oocyte (Sperm) Donation can be selected.

Something to say in conclusion?

Frozen Embryo Transfer packs are configured exclusively for the couples having the vitrified embryos stored in the cryobank from the previous Surrogacy cycles. Frozen Embryo Transfer does not mean that the vitrified embryo is taken from the cryobank and transferred in the Gestational Carrier’s uterus right away. The most Frozen Embryo Transfer packs involve the dual–launched cycles with Embryo Devitrification and Embryo Transfer.

The power of Frozen Embryo Transfer is launched in an accurate and ultimate Devitrification of the embryonic cohort by Fertility Pros. The vitrified embryos undergo Devitrification before the Embryo Transfer. The more accurate Devitrification is performed, the higher survival rates are achieved. After being thawed, the embryos undergo evaluation of their content and implantation potency. The Embryo Transfer event follows the Embryo Devitrification.

14 days after the Embryo Transfer, the surrogate mom undergoes the blood pregnancy test. If the blood pregnancy test is positive, sooner she will undergo the urine pregnancy test and the ultrasound scan that will show if the gestational pack or the embryo with the tiny placenta is launched in her uterus. If all pregnancy tests are positive, and the ultrasound scan detects the viable pregnancy, the Fertility Pros will keep an eye on the whole process for you.
