Our newly designed state of the art IVF laboratory is certified with distinction by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and directed by Michael B. Matilsky, Ph.D. Dr. Matilsky is board-certified by the American Board of Bioanalysis as a High Complexity Laboratory Director (HCLD) in both Embryology and Andrology with more than 19 years of clinical IVF experience.
Our recently installed LYKOS laser system helps our embryologist create a small opening in the shell of the embryo to help it implant after it is transferred into the uterus. This process is called Laser Assisted Hatching or LAH . The laser is also utilized to perform biopsy of the embryo to identify genetic defects before it is transferred into the uterus (Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis or PGD).
