 ReproBioMed Medical Center Ltd. was established in 1999 by Dr. Pavleta Tabakova and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivan Nikolov. According to the subject of its activity, the medical center is a unit for outpatient obstetric and gynecological care, which is able to maintain a wide range of medical services, namely: 

   √ diagnosis, treatment and prevention of obstetric and gynecological diseases;

   √ diagnosis and prevention of oncological diseases of the female reproductive system;

   √ family planning (and contraception);

   √ diagnosis and treatment of menopause in women, hormone replacement therapy (HRT);

   √ clinical and laboratory diagnosis of a number of other diseases;

 but most of all the Center is known for its narrow specialization in the field of so-called Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) , including a wide range of classical and modern techniques for diagnosis and treatment of human infertility:

   √ Modern hormonal diagnostics and treatment;

   √ Induction of ovulation;

   √ Controlled ovarian (hyper) stimulation (COHS) for extraction of more eggs in 'in vitro' fertilization;

   √ Ovarian (follicular) punctures under ultrasound control;

   √ 'In vitro' embryo transfer fertilization (IVF-ET);

   √ Micromanipulation of human gametes, in particular - intracytoplasmic injection of sperm into eggs (so-called ICSI -IntraCytoplasmicSpermInjection);

   √ Freezing and storage at ultra-low temperatures (t^o= - 196^oC) of human sperm, oocytes, embryos and reproductive tissues.

   According to the requirements of art. 131 para. 1 of the PA, as well as of Ordinance № 16/2007 of the Ministry of Health, ReproBioMed Medical Center has a permit issued by the Minister of Health for assisted reproduction activities,    according to which the medical institution has the right to carry out “assisted reproduction, provision, use of human eggs, sperm and zygotes; storage of sperm and zygotes ”.   

    ReproBioMed Medical Center has been certified according to ISO 9001: 2000 (certificate № HU07 / 2878) for quality management since 04.12.2007, and in September 2010 recertification was performed according to  ISO 9001: 2008. 

    In 2009 Medical Center ReproBioMed Ltd. successfully passed the accreditation procedure. 

     Initially, the hospital was located in the center of Sofia on an area of about 200 m ² , but due to the expansion of our activities, our ambitions to continuously improve the quality of work, and as a result of our desire to provide more comfort to our patients. , in April 2010 was opened our new Base 2 in Sofia, Ovcha Kupel, located on three floors with an area of over 850 m ² . The new base is equipped with high-tech equipment, and all requirements are met according to the standard for Obstetrics and Gynecology, Anesthesiology, Assisted Reproduction, as well as according to European directives. Functional AG-cabinets, modern Laboratory and In vitro have been builtsectors, cozy rooms for patients. The aim of our team is for each patient to receive quality care and at the same time to be satisfied with their visit to us.
