At Aalborg University Hospital, we give high priority to research. With a strongly rooted research effort, we help to create new knowledge. Knowledge to ensure patients rapid and accurate diagnosis as well as a gentle and effective treatment.
The research is an integral part of the work in all the hospital's specialties. This makes the path from the groundbreaking research results made, until they are incorporated into the practical everyday life of the hospital ward, shorter.

Many professional groups participate in the research, as well as collaborating across and with researchers from other national and international research institutions.

With us, interdisciplinarity is an important key word, whether it is the training of nurses, secretaries, social and health workers, doctors or one of the other important professional groups in the hospital.

We have established interdisciplinary educational groups, where students and students from the various professions meet each other in specific clinical tasks in collaboration with the patient. Here they learn to understand, apply and work with their own professionalism in a workplace with many professional groups.
