Comfort Measures in Labor

DESCRIPTION:

This is a class for pregnant women and their partners who have taken a birthing class but would like to spend more time preparing for an unmedicated birth. Couples will learn, and have time to practice a variety of comfort techniques not covered in our Understanding Birth class. In addition, partners will learn added strategies to be a more effective “coach”. Couples taking this class should have taken an Understanding Birth class or have a strong knowledge of the stages of labor. Couples will get a copy of the Labor Lab booklet. Bring one yoga mat per couple to class. Price is per couple. If unable to attend, please call at least 48 hours in advance to reschedule or receive a class refund. seat to be made Bring your confirmation email with you; you may be asked to present it at check–in. Park & ENTER THE LAKE FOREST HOSPITAL MAIN ENTRANCE to the LEFT OF THE EMERGENCY ROOM. Take the elevator or stairs up one flight to the first–floor Health Education Center classroom.
