Masterclass in Management of PPH
DESCRIPTION:
A one day workshop where delegates can learn about recent innovative topics relevant to management of Massive Obstetric Haemorrhage (MOH). This is combined with a hands-on workshop with practical clinical tips from world known experts on uterine compression sutures and balloon tamponade.
After attending the meeting, you will: Understand rationale behind visual assessment of MOH and crucial interventions such as compression sutures and tamponade, Understand the extended role of ultrasonography in acute management of MOH, Learn about selective devascularisation techniques such as internal iliac ligation, Appreciate new developments relevant to MOH management such as tranexamic acid, Develop understanding of medicolegal aspects of managing MOH, Hands on stations on compression sutures, balloon tamponade, EBL etc., Complements the Labour Ward Lead ATSM for senior trainees.
