Progressing Paediatrics: Neonatal Cardiology – Facing the Challenge
DESCRIPTION:
Update your skills in the diagnosis and management of critical congenital heart defects in neonates. This one–day course will cover the early diagnosis and morphology of heart defects and acute resuscitation of a neonate with heart disease. The interactive sessions and case–based discussions will help you fine-tune neonatal ECG interpretations and get up-to-date management strategies for persistent pulmonary hypertension. The faculty include paediatric cardiologists, paediatricians and neonatologists with cardiology expertise, all with a passion for teaching.
OBJECTIVES AND LEARNING OUTCOMES: discuss the clinical features and diagnosis of critical congenital heart disease in the neonate; understand the morphology of critical neonatal heart diseases; be aware of the medical and surgical management including early diagnosis and acute resuscitation of neonate with heart disease; top tips to interpret neonatal ECG, revise diagnosis and management of PPHN.
