Understanding Birth for Multiples

DESCRIPTION:

This innovative, interactive class will enhance your knowledge on all aspects of delivering multiples at Prentice. Taught by a certified childbirth educator, this class covers the signs of preterm labor; stages of labor; details of a vaginal or cesarean delivery of twins or triplets and postpartum care. A guided hospital tour is also included. Each couple will receive a copy of Understanding Birth as well as information specific to multiples. This book provides online access to videos, printable charts, checklists and information sheets. If you are unable to attend your class, please call at least 48 hours in advance to reschedule or to receive a class refund. This will allow your seat to be made available to another participant. PLEASE NOTE: WHEN REGISTERING, 1 REGISTRATION REFERS TO 1 COUPLE, NOT 1 PERSON. Please bring your confirmation email with you. Expectant parents delivering at Northwestern Memorial Hospital are required to have a Pediatrician for their newborn(s) prior to delivery. Please call Physician Referral at 3129268400 and one of our Health Consultants will assist you with referrals to Pediatricians.
