Involuntarily childless people can get help with fertility treatments at university hospitals and at private clinics. For county council-funded treatment, there are certain requirements such as the age of the woman and the man (varies between county councils), that the couple does not have joint children before, that the man or woman is not sterilized or that the woman is not underweight or overweight (different county councils have different BMI limits) .
