Fertility Center Bayreuth

The Fertility Center Bayreuth for Upper Franconia has been advising couples with an unfulfilled desire to have children since February 2016 under the medical supervision of Tanja Wissendheit.

A couple's dearest wish for a child does not always come true without medical help. After 6 months at the latest, a couple should seek medical advice if their efforts to become pregnant are unsuccessful. Twelve to 15% of couples trying to conceive need medical support, for example in the form of artificial insemination, in order to achieve their goal.

Get to know the team and the treatment options at the new fertility center in Bayreuth on the following pages.

Even with the use of modern methods of “assisted reproduction”, a little patience is required, as not every attempt at treatment is terminated with the onset of pregnancy. The probability of pregnancy within, for example, four treatment cycles of “in vitro fertilization” (artificial insemination / IVF) is around 85%.

Our fertility doctors have at least 5 years of training to become specialists in gynecology and obstetrics and, in addition, 3 years of full-time training in “Gynecological Endocrinology and Reproductive Medicine” with a subsequent examination.
