Ultrasound is the most commonly used medical imaging method in early pregnancy and is central to the management of patients with suspected early pregnancy problems.
An Early pregnancy assessment ultrasound scan carried out by fertility imaging is a high resolution ultrasound scan that can occur between 6-12 weeks gestation. This highly specialised ultrasound scan is carried out by our qualified fertility specialist radiographer. It takes approximately 15 minutes.
Self-referrals are accepted however your GP details are requested when you book in the event the pregnancy is not viable. Your GP can then refer you to the early pregnancy unit where you will looked after by the specialists in your local EPU.
