It is one of the methods used to treat infertility by injecting sperm directly into the uterus. Before starting the intrauterine injection process, ovulation is stimulated with medications under medical supervision to obtain a sufficient number of mature eggs capable of fertilization, and in return a sperm or semen sample is prepared, washed and purified from any substances that impede the fertilization process, or that reduce The chance of artificial insemination not succeeding. Then, through a thin tube called a catheter, the doctor inserts the semen sample into the uterus, and this procedure can be done with the presence of an ultrasound device, and to obtain the best results, this process is during the woman’s ovulation period. This method is used to help procreation in some cases, such as: 1- If there is a defect in the semen of the male, then the sperms are less mobile, and their number is small, and these sperms are to be treated by the specialist doctor so that the insemination process is successful. 2- The presence of a problem in the uterus, which impedes the entry of semen and its going into the fallopian tubes until the egg is fertilized.
