Australian Concept Infertility Medical Center (ACIMC) Karachi

The Australian Concept Infertility Medical Center “ACIMC” was established in 1998 with Australian technical collaboration in Karachi, Pakistan. His Excellency Mr. Geoffrey-C-Allen, The then Australian High Commissioner of Pakistan, formally inaugurated Australian Concept Infertility Medical Center on the 9th October 1998. It still remains an unforgettable day for all our dedicated team because it was on this day that we also recorded our first positive pregnancy for one of our patients. The satisfaction and pride we feel when we see the happiness and joy on the faces of positive patients is our ultimate reward. We, at ACIMC, put our patients before everything else. Our sole concern is to give you what you yearn for most – a child that you so rightly deserve – and that too in the safety of the most technologically advanced and hygienically controlled environment that can easily compete with International standards.

The technology support and the scientific data evaluation and processing is an on-going activity through which the ‘Concept Team’ gains valuable insight from refresher courses, workshops and visits by International technical teams.

To make it as naturally acceptable a process as possible, the couples who choose ACIMC are given complete guidance and a step by step procedural account. Our team is the most experienced and co-ordinated across Pakistan. Led by Dr. Salma Batool (Medical Director, M.R.C.O.G. Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, London), the ACIMC has achieved milestone after milestone of resounding success. Only recently, ACIMC gained a monumental achievement of 10000+ successful live births.

Dr. Hussain is a graduate of medicine from Dow Medical College. He passed Sindh Public Service Commission exam in 1974 and joined Health Services of Government of Sindh. Throughout his career of 34 years with the Government of Sindh Dr. Hussain held many important positions. For example, Dr. Hussain was RMO GEN-1 responsible for entire Surgical and Medical store procurement at one of the biggest hospitals in Pakistan.

In recognition for his passion for the service of humanity combined with his unique skills in public dealing, conflict resolution and management, Dr. Sajjad promoted to the important positions of Deputy Medical Superintendent and Additional Medical superintendent.
He remained in the main stream administration of highly demanding and overloaded prestigious institute of Civil Hospital Karachi from 1974 to 1995. At the time Civil Hospital Karachi was the biggest Hospital of the country with bed strength of 1750 and 9 operation theatres and 36 departments. The Hospital had one of the busiest Emergency Departments in the world.

He has headed many large public hospitals as the Chief Executive / Medical Superintendent. In 1995 he joined the World Bank Family Health Project as the Project Director. He was instrumental in developing rural health service structure and primary care services along with various immunization programs. He was also the member of many project committees with World Bank and represented the Health Department at the top economic planning commission forum from 1995 to 1997. Dr. Hussain has been invited as the Guest of Honour at various international universities where he delivered key note speeches to young graduates.

He is currently engaged with the Australian Concept Group since 1998 as the Chief Executive Officer and is a known speaker and authority in field of infertility. He is currently an active member of the following prestigious societies Member European society of Human reproduction:

Dr. Hussain continues to lead the Research and Development Unit at the Australian Concept Infertility Medical Centre with the aim of improving the quality of life of common people and bringing world class infertility treatment to Pakistan at affordable prices.
