IVF LABORATORY

The Laboratory of Assisted Reproduction Techniques at the ARTVIMED Center is equipped with the latest equipment for conducting assisted reproduction techniques procedures. This guarantees full safety during breeding and storage of embryos, gametes and tissues, among others by ensuring the highest level of air purity (in accordance with applicable EU directives) and constant control of procedures.

The embryoscope allows for simultaneous observation and photographic documentation of up to 72 embryos. A high-class camera with Hoffman's modulating contrast can take pictures at 9 focus levels, which allows for accurate morphological analysis of the embryo. By using red LED lighting with 635nm band, embryo exposure to light is significantly reduced (below 50 seconds per day). Non-invasive observation significantly limits the possibility of infection due to the minimum amount of manipulation (closed quality assessment system). The construction of the embryoscope and the sectoriality of individual plates allows heat to be supplied to individual wells containing the medium with the embryo and high temperature stabilization even when the embryoscope is opened. High-quality filters retain 99.97% of particles larger than 0.3 µm.

Embryo culture in the time-lapse system enables a very thorough assessment of subsequent embryo divisions and ensures a constant, safe environment for its development. Earlier it was impossible - the built-in camera takes pictures of embryos at any time determined by the embryologist.

Images from the time-lapse system are saved at constant intervals, creating the entire history of embryo development. This allows a thorough analysis of individual stages, correct cell division and the pace of embryo development.

An embryo in the embryoscope can remain until the blastocyst stage (day 5). Our embryologists have the possibility of continuous, non-invasive evaluation of individual embryos thanks to the embryo preview in the time-lapse system. They see which embryos have the best prognosis and give the highest chance of getting pregnant after the embryo has transferred to the uterus.

A modern incubator for breeding embryos. It has separate, separated sectors for incubation of one patient's embryos. Separation of embryo culture allows for individual control of culture parameters and minimizes temperature, gas concentration, pH fluctuations and reduces the embryo's exposure to light.

Our IVF laboratory is equipped with a total of 4 incubators, which ensures safety and high quality of embryo culture.

The OCTAX system guarantees safety and 24-hour, continuous control of basic parameters important in our embryological laboratory, such as ph culture in incubators, temperature in incubators, refrigerators, dewars with liquid nitrogen and the level of nitrogen in cryo containers. Detects threats and deviations from the assumed parameters and, if necessary, alerts staff through the lighting and voice system and notifies by SMS about any irregularities on days off and at night. Thanks to this, we are sure that embryos, gametes and tissues have optimal conditions for development and storage in our laboratory.

It maintains high air purity in the laboratory, removing all impurities from it. The purification is 4-stage, ranging from the absorption of gaseous chemicals and gaseous pollutants, through the removal of micro-particles and bacteria, photocatalytic oxidation of chemical compounds and finally the destruction in UV light of bacteria and viruses, which due to their size could pass through 3 previous stages of mounting.
