Egg freezing Spain

Price: 2200EUR

In Juaneda Fertility Center we have Egg freezing bundle with egg storage option, plus egg freezing bundle includes an ideal cryopreservation technique called “vitrification” that boosts the oocytes’ (the eggs) survival chances to 100%.

Egg freezing bundle cost is EUR 2200.

This fee covers:

— Sonograms and cycle analyses

— Follicular puncture

— Assisted Reproduction Laboratory

— Egg freezing

*Does not include:

— medications (medications for controlled ovarian stimulation are prescribed individually)

— Maintenance of frozen oocytes — 200 *

* Maintenance must be paid after the fifth year of egg freezing.

Before starting egg freezing cycle, the Patient should represent the results of Blood type test and should undergo blood screening tests (Toxoplasmosis IgG, Rubella (HAH), HIV, HBV (hepatitis B) HCV (hepatitis C) RPR/VDRL (syphilis)), or if the blood screening tests have been done earlier, time frame should be no more than 6 months ago (the other time frame is considered invalid for these screening tests).

If you cannot take these tests in your country, do not worry: you can easily take them in our clinic on your first appointment, which will last approximately two hours. We will perform a gynecological ultrasound to evaluate your uterus, Fallopian tubes and ovaries. We will also perform a simulation transfer to ensure that there are no obstructions.

We will be pleased to set up your first appointment at our centre. You can contact us via our personnel department at the email info@fertility-center-mallorca.com or by phoning +34 871 964 960.

The approximate timeline for Egg freezing cycle is not more than 15 days from the beginning of treatment to completion.

Why should you choose egg freezing (oocyte cryopreservation)?

After the age of 40, the probability of becoming pregnant with your own eggs drops quickly. You will be proposed the alternative option — egg donation because egg donation boosts the pregnancy rates among women aged 40+.

However, IVF cycles designed with egg donation are a technique that many women do not want to consider and undergo for personal reasons, at least not as a first choice, since they have a strong desire to become mothers using their own eggs and thus their own DNA.

Egg freezing is a simple, easy technique which significantly boosts the ability to have children with your own DNA.

This technique is ideal for women who know that as much as they yearn for it, the time to have children has not yet come. The most frequent reasons tend to be professional, since many women cannot dedicate as much time as that they wish right now, and if they did so it would be at the expense of sacrificing everything they have struggled to achieve in their professional lives.

Another of the most common reasons is that the woman has not yet found the ideal partner with whom to share the adventure of parenting.

Egg Freezing Cycle’s SUMMARY:

Time frame for egg freezing cycle:

The process is quick and easy and tends not to last more than 15 days from the beginning of treatment to completion.

It involves:

— (1) hormonal stimulation to achieve the maturation of the highest possible number of eggs in a natural cycle, and
— (2) a follicular puncture under sedation.

— (3) The eggs retrieved are frozen using the vitrification technique, which has an almost 100% survival rate. These eggs will remain frozen as long as needed until they are used.

What happens if you would like to have the baby?

— (4) At the time you wish to use them, the process involves unfreezing the eggs and inseminating them with semen from your partner or a sperm bank, and

— (5) later performing the embryo transfer. This process is not included in the initial estimate. Do not forget that your eggs, by definition, belong to you, so the day you want to use them you can have the treatment done either at our facilities or in the centre you wish.

Relevant issues:

— Egg freezing in no way advances the time of menopause, nor does it increase the chances of cancer.

— It has virtually no side effects, except those that may stem from the sedation needed for the follicular puncture and ovarian stimulation (see informed consent for further information).

— Nor does it significantly lower the number of eggs, since an average of 10 eggs will be extracted from the thousands or hundreds of thousands that every adult woman may have.

— Even though in theory you can become pregnant with just a single egg, the more eggs are used the higher the chances of conceiving. Still, you should always bear in mind that becoming pregnant is a biological process and therefore it can never be fully guaranteed. What we can guarantee is that the chances are very high.

Controlled ovarian stimulation treatment protocol

— To undergo this treatment, hormonal stimulation is needed to ensure that more than one egg is harvested, thus boosting the success of the technique.

— The eggs are retrieved in surgery under sedation in a quick procedure that lasts no more than 20 minutes.

— Once the oocytes are retrieved, they are classified and the mature oocytes are frozen. They remain frozen until the time they are needed, and later they are inseminated to become to embryos.

PHASES IN THE PROCEDURE

Phase 1. First appointment

First in–person appointment. When you come to our facilities, a specialized gynecologist may evaluate you. At the same time, for your convenience you have the choice of taking the additional tests at our facilities at a competitive price, or at any other place of your choice. They include a blood test, a hormone study and a gynecological exam.

Phase 2 Ovarian stimulation

With ovarian stimulation, we increase the number of mature eggs we can harvest at the time of the follicular puncture, thus increasing the number of subsequent embryos and the success rate. Sonograms will be performed, and if necessary the oestriadol level in the blood will be examined to find the ideal moment for follicular puncture. This phase lasts an average of 10 days.

Phase 3. Puncture and in-vitro fertilization

When it is determined that the follicles are mature, the follicular puncture will be scheduled to extract the oocytes. This is performed in the operating room under sedation. The patient will be ready to walk out of the clinic after a few hours. The mature eggs are frozen and saved to be used in the future with full guarantees, if needed.
