Egg donation is used for women who:

• Do not have their eggs.
• We’re born without ovaries.
• Have not become pregnant despite assisted fertilization treatments.
• Are carriers of a genetic abnormality (genetic disease).
• Have undergone surgery on their ovaries.
• Have undergone radiation therapy or chemotherapy.
• Whose partner/husband’s sperm cannot be collected or used.

Semen donation is used for men who:

• Are carriers of a genetic abnormality (genetic disease).
• Have sperm that cannot be collected or used?
• Suffer from disruption of spermatogenesis, reduced motility of the spermatozoa or trouble with transportation of the sperm.
• Suffer from diseases that affect the entire body (diabetes, thyroid disease, etc.).
• Suffer from impaired sexual function (due to paralysis, etc.).
