The high magnification or Super-ICSI consists of an optical and digital system that allows an increase of 4,000 to 12,000 times, much higher than the 400x used during conventional ICSI. It is used for detailed morphological evaluation and selection, which enables accurate visualization of head characteristics (such as vacuoles, which are strong indications of DNA damage), of the intermediate piece and tail. Consequently, better embryos with higher pregnancy potential are obtained.
