The country with endless sea views, Mediterranean landscapes, and glittering crystal–clear waters, Greece is open to single women and heterosexual couples (married, unmarried, or in a legal partnership) looking for fertility treatment and surrogacy services.
Greece has a fully regulated and transparent ART legal framework on IUI, IVF, ICSI, surgical sperm retrieval (PESA, TESA, and MESA), egg/sperm/embryo donation, blastocyst transfer, frozen embryo transfer, assisted hatching (AH), and surrogacy.
Surrogacy in Greece is open to foreigners (single women and heterosexual couples). The surrogate mother volunteers to carry a pregnancy without receiving financial compensation for her services. However, the intended parent(s) should pay for the Ivf, pregnancy, and delivery expenses in addition to the restitution of damages and lost wages for any unpaid leave of absence during the pregnancy. And one more nuance to consider: a favorable Court decision is also required for starting a surrogacy program.
