Folliculometry - monitoring the menstrual cycle

Monitoring of dominant follicle growth in spontaneous or stimulated UZV cycle by examination and induction of ovulation with timing of sexual intercourse

IUI- intrauterine insemination (partner / donor)

In a spontaneous cycle, we monitor the growth of the dominant follicle and, by injecting to trigger ovulation, time the procedure - insertion of processed sperm into the uterine cavity using a special catheter.

In a stimulated cycle, from 2-5 days of the cycle, we administer preparations (tablets, injections) that support ovarian activity. From 10-12 day of the cycle we monitor the number and growth of follicles. By injecting to trigger ovulation, the timing of sperm delivery into the uterine cavity is timed.

IVF (In vitro fertilization) - artificial insemination

In stimulation we try to get more eggs, therefore we inject follicle growth hormones from 2-3 days of the cycle in higher doses. Ultrasound is used to monitor the reaction of the ovaries. According to the finding, the dose is adjusted if necessary.

Injections take an average of 10-12 days. When an optimum finding is given by injecting to trigger ovulation, the egg collection time is timed. The eggs are collected from the ovaries under brief anesthesia administered into a vein under ultrasound control through the vagina using a puncture needle.

After collection, the patient is followed for about 2 hours and leaves home accompanied by an adult.

Before leaving, the couple consults the embryologists on the number and quality of the eggs obtained and the result of the spermiogram and the use of special laboratory procedures.

The next day, embryologists inform the patient about the number and quality of the embryos and the estimated time of transfer. Most often, embryos are transferred 2-3 or 5 days after collection.

The embryos are inserted into the uterine cavity without anesthesia. The procedure is painless.

The procedure requires full bladder.

In recent years, the number of women with intensive medical stimulation has increased

or other reasons inappropriate. Soft protocols (cycles) are suitable for this group of women

or native cycles.

Soft cycle

Lower doses of stimulant drugs are used in this cycle. The goal is to obtain a maximum of 5 eggs. The ovulation timing, egg collection, fertilization and transmission are the same as in the classic IVF cycle.

Native cycle

Without stimulation, the growth of the dominant follicle is monitored. During the period of ovulation, the follicle content is aspirated. However, the egg is not always present in the follicular fluid. If the egg is obtained fertilization and transmission are again like the classic IVF cycle.

IVM- In vitro maturation

In women at risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, with uneven growth of follicles by classical stimulation, or who have failed to obtain mature oocytes by classical stimulation, immature oocytes that ripen under laboratory conditions for 36-48 hours and then are fertilized can be taken.

Cryopreservation of germ cells (social freezing) - freezing of eggs or sperm

In patients with severe illness whose treatment may seriously impair fertility or if the patient does not currently have a stable partner or works in a hazardous environment.

Donor program (eggs, sperm, embryos)

The donor program is anonymous. Donors undergo clinical examination, serological and genetic examination.

The appropriate donor is selected according to blood type and RH factor, hair color, eye color, height.
