In normal conditions, the sexual cycle of the woman does that, directed by influences neuronales and hormonal, a woman produces an ovocito or ovum in every menstrual cycle (every 28 days, approximately).

This ovocito grows inside the ovary and before a hormonal peak it is liberated and stays in the Falopio horns in expectation of being fertilized by a masculine sperm. If this meeting and the fertilization takes place, the embryo develops in its initial stadiums and has to be implanted appropriately in the womb.

From this moment, there breaks loose a series of hormonal mechanisms that favor the pregnancy.
