Cardone Reproductive Medicine and Infertility

Same Sex Parenting: At Cardone Reproductive Medicine and Infertility (CRMI), we beleive it is the right of every individual or couple to build their own family and that loving families come in many forms! We felt this way when we first opened our doors in 1989 and more than ever today. We are truly honored to have an opportunity to help patients understand their options and provide them with the resources needed to start a wonderful family. CRMI is dedicated to helping create all types of families regardless of sexual orientation or marital status. Family building for same sex intended parents requires the assistance of a third party a sperm donor for lesbian women and an egg donor and a surrogate for gay men. CRMI works with many reputable and experienced sperm banks, egg donation and surrogacy agencies, reproductive lawyers and infertility consultants, all of whom you may use to help you find donors and surrogates and to ensure that all legal requirements are met. Known egg and sperm donors also can be used but will need to undergo all the required testing. Gay Male Family Building: Gay men who wish to become biological parents can achieve their dreams by using an egg donor and a gestational carrier/surrogate with in vitro fertilization. The combination of IVF using donor eggs fertilized with sperm of the intended parent(s) with an embryo transfer into a surrogate (gestational carrier), enables gay and single men to have their own biological children. The pregnancy rates using donor eggs and gestational surrogacy are some of the highest available in assisted reproduction. CHOOSING A GESTATIONAL CARRIER OR EGG DONOR: The egg donors and surrogates are selected through specialized agencies that carry out the initial recruitment and screening of candidates, provide referrals to attorneys who specialize in reproductive law, and help administer the arrangements. Cardone Reproductive Medicine and Infertility, LLC prides itself in working with many of the most respected third party agencies in the world. Services Offered: Access to Our Frozen Donor Egg Bank; Referrals to Reliable Donor/Gestational Carrier Agencies; Financing Options. MALE FACTOR INFERTILITY: Occasionally a male factor infertility problem is discovered; either the other partner's sperm can be used or advanced male infertility techniques, such as intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) for an abnormal sperm count, is utilized, if appropriate. TRANSGENDER COUPLES: We proudly offer an array of fertility treatment options for the transgender community: IUI; IVF; PAR; Egg & Sperm Freezing; Access to Our Frozen Donor Egg Bank; Referrals to Reliable Donor Agencies. FAMILY BUILDING FOR WOMEN LESBIAN COUPLES AND SINGLE WOMEN: INTRAUTERINE INSEMINATIONS WITH DONOR SPERM. At Cardone Reproductive Medicine and Infertility (CRMI), we proudly offer the following fertility options for lesbian couples and single women: IUI A less invasive, lowtech insemination which uses anonymous or known donor sperm. IVF A multistep procedure that involves controlled and monitored ovarian stimulation with hormonal medications, an egg retrieval, fertilization of the eggs with sperm in the laboratory; and finally an embryo transfer back into the uterus. Donor Sperm: via a combination of ovulation induction with oral medications and two precisely timed donor inseminations. PAR Partner Assisted Reproduction (PAR) ensures both partners have a biological relationship to a child. One partner provides the egg, which is fertilized with anonymous or known donor sperm outside the body and the resultant embryo(s) is transferred into the other partner who then becomes pregnant. We also offer reciprocal IVF, where one partner provides the eggs and the other carries the baby. The women may or may not have infertility, but this procedure gives both of them the opportunity to share in the family building experience. Related Services: Access to Our Frozen Donor Egg Bank; Referrals to Reliable Donor Agencies/Sperm Banks; Financing Options; For more information about our services, please read the following sections: Most female same sex or single prospective parents will not have an infertility problem. However, the screening process or a series of unsuccessful intrauterine inseminations might reveal a previously unknown infertility issue that could necessitate using IVF or donor eggs in addition to donor sperm. Egg Donation, Sperm Donation & Surrogacy: Third Party Reproduction: A growing number of prospective parents need to collaborate with one or two other people third parties to become parents. The third party can be an egg or sperm donor who will provide the biologic /genetic materials if the intended parents are not able. It also can be a surrogate, known too as a gestational carrier, who will carry and deliver a non-genetic child for the would-be parents. Third party reproduction is the term used to characterize the range of these offerings. Third parties are not involved in raising the child. They will be compensated for their time and effort. REASONS FOR NEEDING EGG DONATION AND SURROGACY: Women need egg donors for a variety of reasons, such as premature ovarian failure, low ovarian reserve due to aging ovaries, or because they are the carrier of a genetically transmitted condition. Surrogates are needed when the intended mother cannot carry a child because of anatomical issues, previous IVF implantation failures or other medical reasons. Gay males will need both an egg donor and gestational carrier. Lesbians will need a sperm donor.
