Dr.V.S.Vijay, Former Minister of health and family welfare, State of Tamilnadu, is the founder of Arun Hospital. With over 40 years of clinical experience, this hospital was started by him in the year of 1995, to provide high quality health care to sub-urban and rural areas, at a cost that was a fraction comparable to cities. The institution that he envisioned and built- Arun hospital, became a pioneer of private health care setups in Vellore. With the perfect balance of clinical knowledge and technology, he ensured that expert care is given to all his patients over years. With the introduction of various health insurance schemes, he ensured that affordable healthcare reached everyone. As a compassionate humanitarian, he has conducted several free medical camps to serve the people.
