I honestly don't understand all these negative reviews. We have had our fertilised eggs on ice with Firststep for over 2 years. The entire process leading upto that was fine and everyone I dealt with was great. We have recently done an embryo transfer and I have just found out I am pregnant!. Thought this entire journey I have had ups and lows with each time the ladies showing compassion, understanding and sympathy. I have had no issues with this clinic and i wish to thank everyone who has assisted me to this point. My phone calls always answered and returned, Medication has been on point ordering/receiving/instructions. Before coming to firststep were referred to Monash, we were left disheartened when we were told we needed to pay 10-12K to start any processes as this was just not affordable for us. Firststep is bulkbilled and the money you are out of pocket is affordable and spread over treatment being received at that one point. Thank you to all the nurses and DRs. We will be continuing our future journeys with this clinic going into the future when we are ready to continue expanding our family.

My experience with first step fertility has allowed me to be a mama for the very first time and blessed me with a beautiful girl. Although the process was daunting during COVID times, the whole thing was an absolute amazing experience and I'm grateful it all went smoothly 🙏

I don't recommend first step fertility Liverpool at all. Don't waste your time and money with them, also they are not the cheapest. I was with them 2 years I wasted my time and money with every step unprofessional and fail after fail. The specialist dr Andrew Zuschmann spoke to us once only and every thing was through the nurses, in egg collection they didn't decrease my medication even the nurse saw that my ovaries was overstimulated. Every step they missed something in the forms. In the transfer they have only Dr Georgiana Tang unprofessional every time she did my transfer with feeling they don't have transfer with ultrasound, and they check the tube if the embryo still in the tube or not!!!!!. When I wanted to transfer my embryo to another clinic they refused to give me my medical report and they caused a delay with my embryo moved to another clinic because they didn't tell me that I have to pay them to release my embryo. I am now with another clinic and I saw the difference in every thing from nurses specialists admin and the transfer doctors..

Totally don't recommend them to anyone. They have been unprofessional for every step of the way. We are based in NSW, We booked an appointment, and a nurse was supposed to contact us via video conference.nnThey don't do face to face, and the supplied video App doesn't work. We asked to meet in person and they refused. Suddenly the nurse cancelled on us 2 days before the consultation, rescheduling again after 2 weeks.nnAfter the 2 weeks, we received a phone call from a nurse based in QLD stating that they are not taking patients due to COVID. We emailed the staff from Liverpool NSW and they responded that they are taking patients. Total miscommunication between their staff. Their doctor also consulted with us via phone with no face to face.nnThe entire process of their IVF is done through email with absolutely no proper support or communication. Phone calls are rare.nnThe egg retrieval process was done in the city at gateway day hospital which was odd because it's completely a different clinic. The doctor started operating on my wife before the sedation took effect causing her excruciating pain.nnThe following day after the surgery, there was excessive bleeding. We contacted the provided phone number but there was no answer. We called an ambulance and my wife was taken to the emergency department. The doctor at the ED gave us an ultrasound that was supposed to be sent to first step fertility. We contacted them and the nurse said that the results should be sent to a gynaecologist meaning that they don't even have a doctor to see the patients.nnTheir idea was to skip the current cycle due to excessive bleeding and enlarged ovaries. The implantation is to take place after 2 weeks without being properly examined by a doctor. At this point, we started looking for a different clinic to continue the IVF process.

I definitely would not recommend first step fertility, Liverpool. It took me four phone calls in order to have them send me the correct forms that I was required to complete and return prior to my initial consultation. I later received a call from a nurse advising my appointment would be via video link due to covid. I expressed my concerns/frustration regarding the rigmarole with the forms then asked her to cancel my appointment as I felt they were extremely incompetent, the nurse advised me she would update their records and cancel my appointment.nnDays later I received another call from different nurse wanting me to confirm my appointment. I again explained that I had cancelled my appointment.nnWith something so important to my husband and I, we were wanting a clinic that knew what they were doing, I don't believe I was goingnto find that at first step fertility, Liverpool.
