What Patients Are Saying
The experiences shared by patients highlight both strengths and areas for improvement. Many appreciate the compassionate care and support from the nursing team, as well as the clinic's modern facilities. However, some feedback suggests opportunities to enhance administrative communication and personalized treatment processes. Addressing these areas could further align services with patient expectations and improve overall satisfaction.

I had 4 cycles, late 2024 until mid 2025. Life fertlity might have a good patient service in general but my experience in Bowen Hills, Brisbane was not. I chose Life because I was referred by a good surgeon. Things I would like to highlight: (1) During my cycle 2, I received a call from the admin saying my cycle was cancelledand we have to adjust the payment. That day, the same person asked me to pay in full and I did payin full, after doctor confirmed to me for another medication and cycle to continue. the last thing a patient in IVF would want to hear is cancelling of the cycle and the cycle didnt work. With all the hormonal medications i was having and coming from a fully paid patient, it was irritating, and annoying! I was angry! The admin didnt even apologise, instead she insisted “have you heared what I just said, just ignore” i wasreally angry, how could one ignore such a heavy thing said! (2) I mentioned before my cycle 2 started that my partner will be away for few days with dates given and they stayed silent, on my side I thought they are managing it and things are being handled properly. On the day that retrieval day was set, I was told by the nurse that the semen should had been collected earlier for freezing. My head was bursting in anger but I just kept calm as they are handling my case. It ended up my eggs was to freeze and thawed instead of the semen. What a waste of possible good chances! Waste of money! (3) In all my 4 cycles I have been correcting my doctor in Bowen Hills, that I dont have endometriosis! She even referred me for a hysteroscopy, I paid $500, then money returned as it was not needed. (4) another thing, they say they are transparent with your finances and payments with them? I dont think so, their admin in level 2 would not give you the amount to pay in advance, you will just be surprise that you need to pay TODAY thousands of amount! Here’s another, I am transfering to another clinic, should’t be that my records are readily accessible because my case was just recently, now they are charging fees again.nI REALLY REGRET CONTINUING MY CYCLE AT LIFE FERTILITY BOWEN HILLS BRISBANE. I should have moved to another clinic and use my money for a clinic that providesbetter services to patients. In Life fertility, you are the patient, the admin, and you always have to remind them of the things that they should have been doing for you as patient. another thing,i think that my case didn’t worked out at LifeFertility, because it was STRESSFUL being a patient at Life Bowen, people and the environment are so stressful! With 10,000 amount paid in each cycle, I dont think they took my case seriously!.

Don't go there. I have been treated awfully by the admin of this clinic and if I could rate it no stars, I would. I don't think that the admin staff reflect the rest of the staff but the admin staff have treated me like dirt. There is one receptionist Cara and she has been awful to deal with and it created lots of anxiety any time I had to call this clinic. The fertility journey is hard enough and it's shame there is not more care taken. I asked for some guidance about when I needed to be at the clinic to book flights etc as I was coming from interstate and Cara said to me "I can't tell you when to book your flights." She simply needed to put me onto someone who did and I didn't deserve to be patronised. On another phone call when I asked for assistance with the donor bank links she said to me "I can't see what's on your screen." After I complained about her, I then had to deal with her on the phone again and she said "I heard you weren't happy." I was told someone would phone me back to give further feedback about Cara but that never happened.nnI jumped through all the clinics hoops counselling, blood tests, initial consultations to find that they had no donors from cryos denmark which was the main reason I was going to the clinic in the first place. There were three donors from the clinic offered to me two were asian and one was African. If I had known that at that time their donor pool was so limited, I wouldn't have wasted my tine or money. Prior to this, I had to chase the clinic admin to book me in after they cancelled my appointment due to the cyclone.nnNow that I want to leave dissatisfied there have been no questions asked as to why by Jill Reception Manager. I have requested my blood tests come through to me, and she has told me the results belong to the clinic and that I would need to pay a $50 admin fee and that she'd have to get permission to waive that! She also accused me of being a little bit threatening because I said I was going to make a google review. No wonder Cara is hard to deal with if Jill is her manager/role model. It wasn't a threat, it was the sad reality of where I am up to with this clinic but accusing me of threatening her just made it worse. If you need to go through the bulk bill program, please be aware of Cara and Jill. In general, the bulk bill program seems to be the "have not" program where you get especially treated like a number. It seems the admin staff are always on the defensive and people are not defensive for no reason, so perhaps there are many disgruntled patients and the admin feel they need to defend themselves.

If you're considering this clinic because of affordability—don’t.nYou’ll end up wasting both your money and your time. This clinic is run like a business first and foremost, with minimal focus on achieving results—and it shows.nnThey use a one-size-fits-all approach to medication under their bulk-billed plans. Only after a failed cycle do they mention other treatment options that could potentially improve outcomes. Why not offer these options from the start?nnOne of the most shocking aspects is that they don’t offer sedation for egg retrieval. You’re expected to be awake during a painful and invasive procedure to save a relatively minor cost (about $500) in the grand scheme of IVF. Not only is it distressing, but movement during the procedure can lead to missed eggs. Sedation isn't a luxury here—it's a medical necessity for many.nnThe care during the procedure was especially disappointing. While I lay there, vulnerable and in pain, the doctor and nurses were casually chatting about the $100k cars they were considering buying. I understand light conversation can ease nerves, but this was deeply insensitive. It reinforced the feeling that I was just another number in a factory-like process—not a person going through one of the most emotional experiences of her life.nnOn top of that, medical oversight was minimal. No bloodwork to assess hormone levels before starting medication, no mid-cycle monitoring, no pain relief after retrieval. It felt careless.nnSince switching to another mixed bulk-billed clinic, the difference has been night and day. We went from retrieving just 3 eggs to 10 in one cycle.nnPlease listen to the reviews. They are not exaggerating. This clinic is a waste of time, money, and emotional energy.

Worst IVF clinic in Brisbane. Did 4 cycles here both bulk-billing and full service. Lost my baby as the progesterone dose is too low. Doctors don’t care! Never come back!

I cannot thank Glenn and all the admin and nurses enough at Life Fertility. Glenn has been amazing from our first visit right until the last 2 years later. Glenn never gave up on us and let me try everything I suggested without hesitation. He did my lap surgery as I wouldn’t go to anyone else and he excised some endometriosis and cleaned everything up. Our next transfer was a success. I loved that Glenn was not sterile like a lot of other specialists and there was always many laughs with the visits and I felt 100% comfortable and listened to at all times. The admin were always on top of everything and I always experienced excellent communication. I can’t thank them all enough. And nurse Kate, you are just fantastic at what you do! Glenn couldn’t have chosen a better person to take care of transfers while he is away. Definitely recommend this clinic and would not hesitate going back if I ever needed to. 5 stars to the whole team 🌟.
