Stay away from Monash IVF. Very poor administrative service. Be prepared to pay many fees only to do the work yourself. The worst part was the careless and disenaged doctor. Total waste of time and money.

The receptionist at suite d was chit chatting with a staff when I got in, she looked at me and told me to take a seat and the doctor will not be long. After half an hour wait in the seating area, the doctor came out to check with her whether I have arrived or not and the receptionist makes a phone call to me to check whether I am going to make it to the appointment or not, I go in front of her desk to tell her she’s told me to wait in the seating area and she disconnects the phone and tells me ‘yes, I told to sit there was a lot of patients and it will not be long’. No apologies, no nothing. Another earlier appointment she had misplaced our consent form and had made me and my partner sign another form and we had to come and drop it to Monash again. Then also, no apology nothing. If she is not competent to work please don’t put her at the front face of a facility where patients with already lots of distress in their personal life come and has to face such incompetency.

When I was first referred to Monash IVF beginning of 2023, I was in my early 30’s, looking to ensure my ability to have a child in the future.nnI was continuously given poor advice and practicenn- Being told being off the contraceptive pill for 3 months was long enough before stating my hormone treatmentnn- That because of my age I would likely only need one cycle (20 good eggs a required for an 80% chance of one live birth, my collection was only 30% of what was needed)nn- My initial appointment blood tests showed that several of my hormone levels weren’t in optimal range and no action was takennn- Told I could continue training at the gym as normal whilst administering my injections (My next cycle with No 1 Fertility stressed that anything other than light to moderate walking could risk ovarian torsion)nn- I received no post procedure blood tests to check my hormones had returned to normal, I sought out help from a Naturopath, which blood tests showed the excess hormones from the fertility treatment had not been fully flushed from my body.nnTo say I had no faith in the possibility of a successful second round with Monash IVF would have been an understatement. I was just another number on the Monash conveyer belt, ready to process and pay.nnWanting a more comprehensive approach I sought out a Naturopath and Chinese Medicine Doctor, one of whom suggested I see a different doctor.nnSince my experience at Monash I have had an egg collection through No. 1 Fertility with Lynn Burmeister. I’ve had such a successful outcome, which has only highlighted to me even more the failures of Monash IVF.nnI naively trusted the Monash name and the recommendation from my GP. I feel financially I’ve been taken for a ride. After my Medicare rebate, the difference in cost between Monash IVF and No.1 Fertility was $4000-$5000.nnI had hoped to sent through a more private and thorough email directly to Monash, but unfortunately no-one provided me with an email to do so and you website directs all feedback to the Monash Google review page.

Do not recommend, imagine going through the process to donate your eggs to someone, putting up with the hold ups from donor vic, trying to find a park for multiple appointments… only to find out well after the process has finished that they have claimed all their costs to YOUR medicare; when they have in-fact given you NO medical treatment whatsoever; other than to collect eggs for someone else. Thank you Monash, for leaving my young family out of pocket, while you have charged my recipient a fortune and now cost me as well. If you are generous enough to donate, I do not and would not recommend Monash IVF .
