Dr. Carlos Portocarrero

Born in the city of Rioja, in the Amazon region of Peru, Dr. Carlos Portocarrero studied Medicine in Lima, at the National Mayor University of San Marcos, one of the most important in the country. He completed the course in 1993 and came to Brazil to do residency at the Hospital Regional do Gama during 1996 and 1997. Later, dr. Portocarrero held an internship in human reproduction and videoendoscopy at the Genesis clinic in 2000. Since 2001, he has worked in the public area as a gynecologist at the SES (Health Department) in the emergency room of the Hospital Regional do Gama and as a home preceptor and human reproduction clinic and gynecological endoscopy surgeries. In 2006, he completed his postgraduate studies at IVI (Instituto Valenciano de Infertilidade), the first medical institution in Spain dedicated entirely to assisted reproduction and currently a world reference.
