Olive Fertility Surrey

Summary: This clinic violated my confidentiality and accessed my medical records without my knowledge or consent. On top of that they took six months to get back to me and try to book an initial appointment. In that six months I was fully treated by Grace Fertility and got a second opinion from PCRM. If you want prompt and professional treatment, go elsewhere.nnEdit: A bad review gets even worse. A month after I posted this review they called me to "book my initial appointment" because "my bloodwork had been completed". I was surprised to hear this considering I'd never done any bloodwork with this clinic.nnTurns out on their intake form they had asked me if I'd had any fertility testing before and what the name of the doctor was. Then, without my knowledge or consent, they reached out to life labs and used that doctor's name to access my private medical records, even though that doctor was no on staff at this clinic!nnOriginal review:nnI got a referral to this clinic back in November and it took them FIVE MONTHS to get back to me. In that amount of time not only did I get full treatment from Grace Fertility, I was also able to get a second opinion from PCRM.nnThe long wait wasn't for lack of trying on my part, as well. I called them in November to confirm they got my referral and they told me it would take 6-8 weeks for them to PROCESS the referral, and an ADDITIONAL 6-8 weeks afterwards for them to schedule an appointment. (Both the other clinics were able to process my referral and get me an appointment within six weeks.)nnOn January 15th I called Olive to update my contact information and they told me someone would reach out to me within 10 days to schedule my appointment. I heard nothing from them until they sent me an intake form on April 7, one week shy of THREE MONTHS later!!nnThe only up side to all this is that a friend of mine who went to Olive told me she profoundly regretted it and I was much better off avoiding treatment from this clinic. Both Grace and PCRM strongly recommended to me as a woman over 40 to start with IVF. Olive made no such recommendation to her and was more than happy to take her money and give her false hope for IUI procedures that were never successful. Both Grace and PCRM were very frank and honest with me about my low chances of conceiving even with IVF and didn't take any money from me for what would have been a fool's errand. Don't expect that same honesty from Olive.nnI've posted this review anonymously to protect my and my friend's medical information. I want to extend my deepest appreciation to Dr. Tregoning, at the Surrey Clinic as well as the doctors at the Vancouver location who were responsible for the egg retrievals and transfers. I would also like to thank the nurses, embryologists and admin staff for their careful attention to detail. Olive has given me the biggest blessing of becoming a first time mom this January. I would say all of the staff and systems here are set up for the patient to be successful and I personally found they only recommended the actual transfer to happen when my uterus was under the most optimal condition, as not to waste any embryos. In the moment this can mean delaying a procedure and disappointment in the short term, however sometimes this is for the best outcome. Thank you again for the outstanding work you do.

Dr Shawn prescribed some tests for us, did my hysteroscopy and advised some supplements. He was so good that because of the great prescription of supplements, and hysteroscopy procedure that might have cleaned out my rep organs, I fell pregnant naturally and gave birth to a beautiful boy in April 2024! The clinic didnt discharge me when I shared the news of my pregnancy just days before my IVF procedure, rather took such good care of me in the first trimester given my history of miscarriage. Overall, 5 stars to the expert team of docs and and 10 stars to the staff at Olive. I am eternally grateful.
