The only thing good about this place are the very kind ultrasound techs and some of the nurses when they're not being rushed.\n\nI experienced 3 doctors in total, all horrible with no bedside manner. They don't explain things, talk down to you when you ask questions, and overall are not patient-centered. I had a miscarriage and Dr. Tan said to me "so that means you can get pregnant" and laughed. I ended up getting pregnant at this clinic through cycle monitoring and meds, and during the first 6 weeks of my pregnancy had a subchorionic hemmorhage where I experienced bleeding. The doctor that was seeing me (I forget her name) loaded me with information and when I asked a question she said "I already explained that". So rude at a scary time.\n\nThe phlebotomist will use veins that are bruised instead of look for other ones.\n\nOverall, they're open early and helped me on the path to my pregnancy. I would probably go out of my way not to use them again..

Review of CReATe West Fertility from Madi R
Just a quick thought before my review. If you are waiting to start fertility treatments, I would advise trying other options first like fertility acupuncture, fertility yoga or just improving your general health with good habits, foods and exercise.\nBeing in fertility treatments has been some of the worst experiences of my life. It has led to real trauma that my mind visits unbidden from time to time. You may not think that you could be the one still in treatments eight years later. I certainly didn't think it would happen to me; I am pretty healthy - while I am overweight, I don't smoke or drink, no known fertility issues, regular cycles, both my husband and me have excellent numbers and even after all the tests and even having one success with IVF, my infertility is still unexplained.\n\nI started with Toronto West about seven years ago. I have been treated by 6 different doctors at Toronto West/Create, some I liked and some I didn't. I've heard complaints about Dr. Tan but I found while she was often late to procedures, she was a Doctor who discussed my file with me every month, discussed options and eventually I did get pregnant on my first frozen embryo transfer thanks to her and fertility acupuncture.\nTwo years later, I returned to Create West. I was hoping to complete my family and sadly, while some of the staff are quite amazing, the only doctor they had was Dr. Forman. After having Dr. Forman as my doctor for five months, I can safely say, she is the absolute worst fertility doctor I have ever had.\nShe forces unneeded tests, pressures you for other tests without sound reasoning or explanations, she forced my husband to go through tests (even though he is not needed for embryo transfers - our embryos are already frozen and stored) and doesn't even make an appearance for any of my appointments - after the first meet and greet where we waited 2 hours to meet her. They also insisted my husband be present for the meet and greet regardless that he works nights and it was very difficult for him to attend but they said he had to be there or i would not get an appointment. Then during the appointment, she insulted him, asking very rudely if this "was not a good time" because he was falling asleep during the meet and greet.\n\nThe only time I saw her was during my transfers, where she was always late and always in a rush to leave. I'm certain at this point that she didn't even look at my file. When there was an issue with my 4th failed transfer and I called to make an appointment to discuss it, the administrators advised me she would not see me for three weeks because she had decided to only see patients for reviews on Fridays... but I could go ahead and schedule another transfer, despite there being clearly something wrong. After four failed transfers, with no discussions or reviews, it felt like four of my embryos were lost to negligence.\nDr. Forman is uncaring, unprofessional and absolutely in the wrong field of work. They keep files on their patients to see results of the tests completed, if there is an anomaly on one of those tests, the doctor should take initiative and make recommendations based on those results. The inept Dr. Forman does NOT do this. Do not waste your time, your money, or your hopes for the future on this doctor. I desperately wish I hadn't and now I fear I may not get the second pregnancy I so badly want thanks to the thoughtlessness of this incompetent doctor..

I had a deeply disappointing experience with this clinic. I would not return or recommend it to anyone pursuing fertility care. In my view, their focus seemed more on maximizing insurance billing than providing transparent, compassionate patient support. Communication was poor, and I felt left in the dark during critical parts of the process. If you're serious about starting a family, I would strongly encourage you to consider other clinics that prioritize patient care.

Avoid at all costs. This is one of the worst IVF experiences I have heard of. I attempted to come and do remote cycle monitoring; the front desk was awful to even ask questions about how to start care with them.\n\nWorse, one of my very close friends (who is too intimidated to post) had multiple cycles with this clinic. Out of two cycles, in their first, the reproductive endocrinologist was over an hour late for their retrieval due to being over booked, and their retrieval success was much lower than anticipated. On the second cycle, and most recent transfer of their only available frozen embryo, the embryo was thawed on time, however the reproductive endocrinologist actually forgot they were due at the clinic for her and another couple transfers and arrived hours late for their appointment. This no doubt impacted their lack of success.\n\nCommunications were cold, uninformative and awful at each interaction she shared with me. There was no time provided to answer patient questions or inform them about their plan of care. As a healthcare provider myself, I was completely taken aback with how they were treated throughout their “care” with Create. They have since moved to another clinic (Hannam) and are actually enjoying the IVF process with them. Night and Day.\n\nCreate should either be shut down, or take a good hard look at themselves and how they provide critical and very expensive services that many are paying out of pocket to receive..

Review of CReATe West Fertility from ASaa2024
I was a CWF patient from Apr. 2022-May 2024, referred after experiencing 2 consecutive miscarriages after no issues conceiving our 1st child. Approaching our 40s, we wanted to ensure we were proactive in our dream for a second child. We consulted with Dr. Anne Claessens who was very personable and informative in her discussions with us. We had negative work-ups and were given advice on supplementation and options for assisted fertility.\n\nWe then fell off the radar until Mar. 2023 when I fell pregnant naturally. I then received care under Dr. Liane Tan. I was very satisfied with her care; she may seem very clinical at first but does warm up to you. I took diligent notes during my appointments and had questions jotted down so my visits were very efficient. Ultimately, this pregnancy resulted in a truly devastating 3rd consecutive trisomy-related loss for us.\n\nWhat was perhaps most profoundly memorable from our fertility journey was how Dr. Tan helped me to process and accept this loss. We were so hopeful and thus understandably heartbroken; I could not contain my tears as I sat before her. I will never forget her comforting words that she believes everyone has their destined time on Earth and our little boy was only meant to be with us for 13 weeks. I held onto that perspective and while it was the most trying time in my life, we eventually healed.\n\nAt that point, we expressed interest in enlisting on the ON-funded IVF waiting list and for the following 5 months, we did cycle monitoring (including 1 IUI round) while waiting our turn; lots of work with the constant bloodwork, ultrasounds, meds, injections and suppositories but we marched on. The clinic’s efficiency helped as I was generally called in on time for all my appointments and never felt that I spent unnecessarily long in clinic.\n\nFinally, we received the surprising news in Jan. 2024 that we were offered an IVF slot - we were absolutely elated! Having never expected to resort to IVF, I really did not know much beyond general common knowledge so I asked Dr. Tan all the necessary questions and educated myself with YouTube videos from various fertility specialists. All the different daily injections felt overwhelming and as someone who has never felt comfortable with looking at needles going in, it was a learning curve I had to get used to and it actually wasn’t terribly bad. Egg retrieval day was 2.5 hrs. total, from check-in to leaving, and was as smooth as l can be. Retrieval is at the downtown CReATe location and easy to navigate. I was incredibly lucky as they retrieved 24 eggs (18 mature and fertilized) and had 12 embryos sent off for PGT-A. We were left with 3 euploid + 2 inconclusive embryos. Just anecdotally reading others’ IVF results, I felt really fortunate to have responded well to my IVF round without much difficulty. I do credit this to Dr. Tan as even with previous cycle monitoring, she always adjusted my doses or swapped my meds based on cycle response. We did our 1st FET the following month, endured the infamous 2-week wait and finally, we were blessed with a pregnancy on our very 1st attempt! I continued under the care of Dr. Tan until I ‘graduated’ at 12 weeks. It was such a relief to have made it yet bittersweet to leave the clinic’s care.\n\nOverall, I was very satisfied with Dr. Tan’s care. She does ask you what you prefer along the way and we would either express our inclinations or opt to defer to her recommendations. I never felt like just a #. She was very warm in her care and all my questions were duly answered. The team of nurses I had (primarily Anna, Kathleen and Ella) were very personable and approachable, in person, via phone and emails. I mostly had the ultrasound tech Judy for all my ultrasounds these past 2 years and she was always so wonderful; so gentle and empathetic, especially when we endured our devastating loss. The check-in and admin staff are also friendly and efficient. We honestly had a great experience with CWF and would recommend them!
