I just turned 36 and am trying to get pregnant—should I be doing anything different than someone younger?

After 35, fertility does decline, mostly due to egg quality and quantity, so doctors often recommend not waiting a full year before seeking help - 6 months is typical. You may also hear more about AMH testing and genetic screening. Emotionally, it can feel more urgent, but many women conceive naturally after 35. Focus on a healthy lifestyle and see a doctor sooner if you don’t conceive within 6 months.
