Kinderwunschzentrum Erlangen –– Dr. Jan van Uem

After the pregnancy didn't work out for us for over a year, we made an appointment at the fertility center. Appointments were always made without any problems and you got an appointment quickly. The waiting times were never longer than 20 minutes (even though it was sometimes quite full).nThe receptionists/employees were all super friendly and helpful. They also answered questions if you were unsure about medication, etcnKeep it up!!! You are great! :-)nAlso Dr. van Uem was always friendly to us and we got along well with his manner. The man is a specialist in his field and focuses exclusively on fertility treatment. For some, this focused style can sometimes seem a bit harsh. He doesn't beat around the bush for long and just says what's going on pretty directly. We had no problem with that. And this way you don't waste time unnecessarily. It actually worked out quite naturally for us ^^nWe thank you for the great support. We can recommend the fertility center with a clear conscience!

I never usually write reviews but this one is a labor of love. My husband and I felt very well looked after from day one. If anything was unclear, you could contact us at any time and receive a prompt response. We also have Dr. Van Uem was a very warm, humorous and goal-oriented doctor, which is why I can't understand the bad reviews here. The treatment itself and that should be clear to everyone depends mainly on physical factors. We were aware from the start that a single attempt would not be enough. Although I also count the first attempt as a “success”, I became pregnant, but unfortunately it was in the fallopian tube, which none of us, including no doctor in the world, has any influence on. After the successful fallopian tube operation, we quickly continued with the second attempt, from which we were now able to be “discharged” positively on December 27th, 2024. All in all, we were treated for “only” 7 months before we were successful (including a 2-month break due to surgery, etc.), which I actually imagined would be longer and more nerve-wracking before the treatment. We are overjoyed and endlessly grateful, not only to Dr. van Uem but also his employees and the new assistant doctor were very nice, friendly and goal-oriented. I am more than happy to have chosen this practice and would recommend it at any time! I know how stressful the desire to have children can be, but you should never lose touch with reality and always be aware that nature and the human body cannot be 100% controlled, even by a doctor, and it will be great work until the transfer and from the transfer onwards it's just up to the organism - you have no influence on it. As I said, I was very satisfied from the first to the last day and am now planning to come back here for a second child in 1-2 years!nnThank you very much to each and every one of you!

I rarely write reviews but this is important to me.nWe have been with Dr. since the beginning of June 2024. Jan van Uem undergoing treatment. We didn't like his style at all, which others criticize here. He was always friendly, answered our questions and with his humor he took my fears away. Now we have reached the goal of getting pregnant in November 2024 and we are very happy.nThanks again to the entire nice team there.nKind regards, the Weyher family
