The Specialty Hospital

My mother had a severe, persistent headache. The hospital refused to send an ambulance. A female employee at the emergency room falsely stated that the hospital doesn't provide that service. We had to purchase a portable oxygen tank since my mother needed oxygen at that time and had to wait for over an hour. I complained but there was no follow up. It seems that you're used to such malicious behavior. The hospital had a neurologist pass by but nothing was done to help ease the pain or find the reason for it. The following morning the hospital had a clueless dermatologist examine her. My mother was charged thousands of jds and released without providing any relief whatsoever for her. The incompetent dermatologist referred my mother to a doctor specializing in physical therapy, for some mind boggling reason. After over two weeks of pain and suffering we went to see a more competent dermatologist who'd described lotions and pain killers. The hospital is most definitely overrated. Much need to be done to improve.

It was my 1st time having an operation in Jordan and my 1st time going to this hospital. The staff (from the admission, insurance, nurses and doctors including the residents) were very kind and professional and the ones who assisted me, spoke well English. I didn’t need to spend the night, just half a day (7am-4pm).nAnd I, as a foreigner, I loved the interior design on the hospital, with that rock look characteristic of the buildings in Jordan… for me it was different that the modern hospital building…nThe only downside of the hospital, it’s the paid parking (in case there’s not place right outside of the hospital, which is free but very few cars can fit…) so, the near parking which is big, it’s quite expensive 2 jod… 🤔.

4 Stars 🌟!!!nFirst of all, I would like to convey my special thanks and appreciation to the Nurse “Hafiza” in the Day Case section. There are no words enough to thank her. She was very kind and so helpful in all means. Also, many thanks to the nursing team who helped us during the medical treatment and the stay.nnSome of the drawbacks that shall grab the attention of the hospital management are:nn(1) Lack of proper communication between the doctor clinic, administration department, and insurance department. Since, we arranged all the admission procedure by ourselves in the operation day itself.nn(2) Late response of the nursing team at the nursing station. The response time to any request was after 15 minutes on average.nn(3) The unprofessionally behavior of the in-patient team who did not act to provide the designated room as per the insurance policy.nn(4) Delay of 2 hours to provide the private room after the surgery. The private room is received after cleaning at 16:00. The patient who occupied the room left the room at 14:00.nnFinally, we are delighted from the medical service provided and grateful for the doctor and his team for the end results and the treatment provided. Additionally, we are grateful for the good behavior and the welcoming faces and smiles of the majority of staff.nThe rooms are clean with comfortable bed. The room location is away from the street noise and disturbance. It has own bathroom which was fully equipped and well maintained.nOverall, it was a good decision to chose the Specialty Hospital to do the medication. They have well-experienced doctors who can do sophisticated surgeries and save lives. I recommend them for medical service. However, they have to improve the above highlighted points in order to compete other medical facilities, and retain their patients..
