Although the only treatment options are IUI with a husband’s sperm and IVF using the wife’s eggs and the husband’s sperm, each year, thousands of married couples wishing to conceive a baby through IVF are coming here to make their dream come true. Single women, mainly from Eastern countries where cryopreservation of oocytes is prohibited, also choose this destination for an egg–freezing cycle. And the residents of Eastern countries where vitrification of embryos is not allowed are traveling to UAE to have an IVF and embryo vitrification or use already vitrified embryos in cryotransfer cycles. Unlike most Eastern countries, couples wishing to balance their families are welcome, as gender selection is allowed for non–medical reasons. 

Emiratis are entitled to three free cycles of IVF per year covered by insurance. Non–Emiratis who have insurance cannot use it to cover treatment. Egg Donation, Sperm Donation, Embryo Donation, all types of Surrogacy, and Egg/Sperm or Embryo Shipping are prohibited by Emirati ART law.
