I met with Dr. Ali Ainsworth, an RE/fertility doctor at Mayo who lists POI (premature ovarian insufficiency) as a "clinical interest" of hers on the Mayo website. I thought that meant she was specialized in fertility treatment for POI patients, but it did not. She is specialized in treating POI for health purposes, but she said the Mayo has a firm 20 FSH cutoff for fertility treatment with a patient's own eggs (POI is defined as having an FSH higher than that). She was extremely nice and professional and I am sure would be a great RE for someone who did not have POI, but it was a pretty useless appointment for me (she pushed donor eggs). I feel like the website should be more clear.\n\nI ended up going to an actual specialist and getting pregnant..

I cannot say enough great things. We had our first consultation with Dr. Stewart. The front desk staff and the nurses were so kind to us. Dr. Stewart answered all of our questions and took the time to really help us understand everything. I had my surgery March 14th with Dr. Nelblett. His team and all the nurses working in the OR that day were fantastic. I wish I had his name but the nurse that was in my room post-op took such great care me. For our post-op appointment Dr. Nelblett was super down to earth, explained everything in detail and the appointment ended with us feeling very confident and excited for our “journey”. You can tell he is VERY passionate about what he does. They really care about their patients and treated us exceptionally well.

My son was assaulted March 8th and came to the ED in extreme pain and bleeding . He was checked over given a tetanus shot and some pain killers and let go. You could see by looking at him he had something definitely wrong with his jaw. I am in the medical field and if someone comes in assaulted , bleeding, tooth hanging out we never send them home with out doing a C T or at least an x ray. He easily could have died in his sleep from a brain bleed . He later went to an emergency orthodontist in Minnesota where they took an x Ray and told him he needed to go to a trauma hospital which is then where his friend drove him to. They did a CT and found 5 fractures and 2 compound fractures . Regions trauma hospital. He had surgery that night and the Dr said he's lucky he did not wait any longer. So your doctor told him with his tooth hanging out and jaw deformed to go home and see a dentist Monday???? Also bleeding . Seriously not ok. I get a letter saying sorry we are unhappy with our care ??? That's what your solution is???
This is extremely poor care.

I am not impressed with the Mayo Clinic in Rochester the surgeon was rude and I had to take my wife back for surgery on her arm. We took her to Duluth and the surgeon had to take the rest of the rib out and put three balloons in her arm to reinforce the vein and cut some scar tissue off her muscle because of the rib rubbing against it.

Mayo Rochester is a hot mess. I would suspect any good reviews in here are fake. Mayo eventually will fold like a house of cards. DO NOT GO TO THE MAYO. READ YELP AND BBB REVIEWS!!
I had a "seed" placement biopsy at the Radiology Depart, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN.
This was to place a marker where my surgery was to take place, for an excisional biopsy (which turned out negative for malignancy and no pre-cancer). My St Paul surgeon said the radial scar was small and needed no further evaluation, but Mayo said I needed surgery.
A woman escorted me from the wait area to the procedure room and said "there will be student witnesses" in the procedure. I adamantly told her NO I DO NOT WANT STUDENT WITNESSES in there. It adds extreme stress to have unnecessary people "watching". She disregarded my wishes and two females were allowed to stay.
The procedure was done incorrectly and had to be done from the beginning. The doctor used the wrong sized biopsy needle. This was excruciating and more traumatic by these two witnesses watching me unclothed in a vulnerable situation. This created a PTSD for me. Radiology did not acknowledge my privacy violation. In fact they sent me a letter about my anger outbursts during the procedure. I was HYSTERICAL and livid FROM THE BLATANT DISREGARD TO MY RIGHT TO PRIVACY, and then compounded by the doctor admitting she used the WRONG needle. I had to have a 2nd painful shot of a novacaine medicine inserted deeply into my breast and 17 additional x-rays taken of my breast - which was BLEEDING profusely. I was sobbing and a 2nd doctor came in to take over. I begged her "please don't leave me!" She finished the botched procedure.
I feel a PTSD and deeply violated from this debacle. The depart that took my complaint said they these "witnesses" were there to aid in the procedure. This is COMPLETELY UNTRUE. They did not aid in the procedure in ANY capacity.
I am terrified the excessive X-rays could cause breast cancer but the Radiology Depart dismissed me. I have serious doubts that this small radial scar needed to be surgically removed bcuz it was the inept Radiology Depart that promoted it.

I had put in 3 personal referral in the last year. I have been dealing with some major health care issues that after 6 plus years no one could put their finger on the problem.
So, I have had some acquaintances who have go e up to the hospital and had good luck. So I wanted to give it a try. Two my requests were denied due to they didn't have a space for me. That was 2023.3rd admission was 6 weeks ago. Still no word.
That's ok, my body decided to finally tell me why I was so excruciatingly tired and brain fog.
After what I've read from others I'm sure they wouldn't have done any better then docs did for me in sfsd.
I had a heart attack. So, if you can get in there. More power too you. I can say this cause I was. You'll have to be dieing and even then, good luck.

Vascular IR Dr (Dr N) has not completely read thru a chart of a new pt and scheduled a procedure on a patient when it is not clinically needed. Pt is manipulating yet another Dr. If this Dr would stop and think -how has this pt maintained weight and had normal labs for the last 9 months she would realize the patient can eat. Doesn't take a rocket scientist. Also, pt has been diagnosed with fictitious disorder by psychiatrist and contaminated her lines with fecal matter.
Patient got what she WANTED NOT NEEDED.
Dr was MANIPULATED & Negligent!!!!!

Guys, if you feel it in your heart to share this, PLEASE DO. This lady is literally at the MAYO CLINIC IN PHEONIX (7/19/24) being told she has to pay $300,000 up front to have a brain tumor removed.
This needs to be shared with any politician, healthcare official, department of insurance, Montana government and any KAREN that can be a LOUD VOICE.

Dr. Peter Gay in the sleep medicine center is top notch. My dad has a rare illness that was stumping all the other doctors he had seen. Dr. Gay recognized this in him and treated the symptoms that he could, then sent my dad to an amazing neurologist. Dr. James Bower in neurology is also top notch. I have nothing bad to say about the Mayo Clinic but in my eyes these were the two shining stars that helped my dad when he needed it the most. Forever grateful for their knowledge and compassion.

I was see a few days ago by a cardiologist and gastroenterologist. I LOVE BOTH AND STAFF! EVERY PERSON I came in contact with was kind, caring, and you can tell they care and love their jobs. Not once was I rushed. Everything was clearly explained. Test were ordered and done quickly, no long waits. I can't say enough. Coming there from Missouri probably saved my life. Thank you Dr.Alexander GI and Dr. Wright Cardiologist! My home doctors let me down! I can not recommend Mayo Clinic enough!

I interviewed with Mayo in early 2024. Let me tell you they are world class but the passiveness is between the lines. I can in as formal as anyone would dress shoes, button up I tie etc. the white gentleman at the front desk after getting checked in through Covid which were very nice, the gentleman at the front desk ignored me before I had to ask for a third time excuse me as he was stacking some papers. He still didn't look my way. He then turns slowly and sighs and still doesn't look at me and asks "what you want?" I'm like I'm looking for this department and he's like okay? What's the name? I told them the name, he's like hang out here and I'll call someone. He called and his attitude changed he's like, "oh are you here for an interview?" I'm like yeah he's like "oh they're coming to get you I hope you do great!" I'm like thank you but I was already not impressed. I interview and let me tell you they are as white as the whiteboards around that office. This one guy who was acting tough lied through his teeth about a clinical simulation. I specified clearly what 3 details were and he even asked after the scenario if I was sure. I was literally my best and if I graded myself it would have been a 70% mind you. I'm a new grad, I caught their attention somehow and they showed interest until they saw me. As a Latino I felt it again. Anywhere and everywhere, no matter what I do and my reputation of a clean civil citizen, no matter the travel to half way across the country to get an opportunity with a hospital they'll still shut me down. The worst part was the call I got about their decision. The director told me that they met me and they drew concerns about how I didn't do certain details. When I clearly emphasized I did. They were acting snobby and jerk like as if they were nurses. Of course that's the simulation right? But were they perking their ears? I was calm to the touch. And I don't think they liked that. They want to see humble individuals where they freak out where people feel like okay they know nothing we can teach them OUR way. I was so sad about the call I didn't even fight it. I knew that was a lie. They couldn't just say I wasn't fit for it due to my lack of experience? But the specific details that I made clear really shows me how racist and corrupt they are. EVERYONE IS WHITE. Imagine my brown self walking amongst them? That's crazy! Screw mayo they showed me exactly what they're made of they only have protocols made by doctors to follow they don't have real talent they're just like the previous hospital I was at. They don't care have equipment is supposed to be set up, they don't care about the effects of drugs they cause on patients, they're cookie cutters. Can't think for themselves. They can't tell you how the heart works, they cells, the hemodynamic imbalance the, medications countering diagnosis affects. Thank You Mayo for opening my eyes to reality. Unless you know someone you're in, unless I'm white im in. I dismissed the rumors heading to Minnesota but I should have listened instead of being myself. I now know which hospital is the best hospital in this country and I'm going back to it with the new title I was eager to work as.
