Highly recommend Dr. Behbehani and her team! They are all amazing! She helped us conceive our second child and made us feel so comfortable and made sure to do all the testing and make everything as perfect as she could! She takes your wants and needs into consideration when recommending medications which is greatly appreciated! Highly recommend using her and her team for your next fertility journey! You need someone in your corner when going through such a stressful process and she is definitely that person!

UPDATE** no reach out and no, the AI bot of a response is wrong. Dr Behbahani from her conversation with us gave the clinic notice 2023 about her decision to leave. This clinic is just horrible!! Use here as a last resort!!nnMy Fiance and I had booked an appointment with Dr Behbehani after seeing great reviews on Google and Yelp. The office fit us in to see the doctor very quickly, we had a zoom initial consult followed by an in person ultrasound. We first contacted Dr Behbehani on 2/1/24 and saw her on 2/10/24. Great over zoom. Had an ultrasound appointment 2 weeks later. This is where things changed. All of the providers we had seen were the same, $250-400 for the visit which included an in person ultrasound. She was quick with the ultrasound and she confirmed what she had said over zoom and was quick to make sure we schedule the next steps. When we got the results for our blood work, she schedules a call on 3/1/24 and she tells us that she’s leaving the clinic she’s with on 4/1/24 and won’t be starting a new clinic till mid to end of April 😳. We had driven 1.5 hours to see her in Irvine. She knew how old my fiance was and told us she doesn’t recommend we follow her and that we get started on the cycle soon. With another provider. Why would someone not tell us this? How is this ok? Who just has $500 to splurge on an appointment they know won’t work out? I really don’t know who to blame here but I do blame the doctor as they willfully took our money knowing they won’t be able to complete our process there. Feel bad for others either before us who didn’t finish or others after us who still get “first time consults” knowing it’ll be their last with her. Totally unprofessional and unnecessary.

Coastal Fertility changed our lives. My husband and I struggled to have a baby for five years before we were referred to this practice. The people working there are so caring, supportive, and made us feel like we are in this together. I got pregnant on my second IVF attempt with Dr. Werlin and gave birth to our beautiful daughter in April. We are very grateful to the entire CF team for this incredible addition to our family. I had the privilege of working with Dr. Behbahani during my IVF journey and she was amazing as well as her team. Everyone made my wife and I feel very comfortable and listened to all of our concerns. Dr. Behbahani is very thorough with all of her testing to make sure you have the most success. As stressful as this process can be everyone was so encouraging and helped our family grow! We highly recommend them for all your fertility needs!.

Dr. Behbehani is fabulous! She is new to the clinic, but I had worked with her before for my endo surgery. I specifically wanted to work with her instead of someone else because the research to practice gap is real. I wanted 1. A woman and 2. Someone younger who would only ask me to do what was evidence and research based, and not do a bunch extra stuff that doesn't impact success. She explained everything she did in all procedures and the rationale for the choices she made. I highly recommend Dr. B because she is caring, smart, dedicated, and makes the right calls for treatment, even if it takes a little longer.

Words can't express what a wonderful experience I had at coastal. I initially went for Dr. Werlin but after he left in the middle of my treatment I was devastated. Little did I know that Dr. Werlin leaving and Dr. Behbehbani replacing him was the biggest blessing. Her bedside manner is unmatched. I looked forward to every single one of my appointments. She never rushed me, answered all of my questions and made me feel like she was truly excited to help me as well. The entire staff is phenomenal, I felt like I had my own private service, I was always able to reach my dr and nurse without any issues. Specifically, Juanita, she was the BEST. Thankfully, I'm pregnant after a cycle of IVF but I will truly miss my appointments with Dr. Behbehbani, it will be hard to replace her as I search for a obgyn to deliver my baby.

Dr. Werlin abruptly left,
leaving patients without
a doctor and scheduled procedures and treatments abruptly cancelled.
The staff is disorganized and they charge extra fees on top of "low cost" package they advertise for 10,500$. the rates of producing healthy embryos
was well below the average stats 40-60% with healthy eggs, normal healthy sperm count (which we were charged for on top of the package) So 1 healthy embryo after over spending 30k.
No doctor, and no treatment until new doctor arrives who I was told has little experience.
They really should refund
Patients and Honor their contracts. I deeply regret choosing them.

Fraudulent activity in claims of embryo storage post unsuccessful IVF. Huge unexplained bills that never get resolved...

Years after not interacting with this company they are sending us bills for unpaid storage fees when we have nothing that should have ever been stored in their facilities. Now we are dealing with harassment from their "debt collector". They have never produced legitimate documents confirming the debt. Multiple attempts to speak with their representatives ends with no calls back majority of the time or they say you need to speak to another department. No accountability for their mistake and want us to pay for it.

The experience during IVF at this facility was mixed, but mostly negative. Vague on lots of important details. Very stressful interactions. During certain procedures if you are awake they are not exactly gentle. While if you are unconscious who knows what they can get away with. They don't allow a spouse to accompany throughout procedures. This is a private practice after all and not a hospital.

The good reviews don't seem to match the real experience but the negative ones do. Rotating staff, unresponsive, etc. Look elsewhere for these services and make sure you are 100% (not even 80%) comfortable before moving forward.

We had a horrible experience here at coastal fertility. First off, Dr Werlin is the most unprofessional doctor I have ever met in my entire life. He was insanely rude right off the bat and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Our very first appointment with him he got mad at me for not understanding the information he was implying while laughing at me for asking questions.

When it comes to money...I was told multiple different prices from multiple different people. Nothing matched up here.

The staff here is impossible to reach. My emails went unanswered for weeks and it was so rare for anybody to ever picked up at the front desk. I do have to say the PA here, Emily Yu, is amazing though!! She is the only person who worked there that I encountered with that was professional, kind and compassionate 100% of the time.

As a repeat patient of Dr. Werlin's, we are a different kind of grateful this time around. So much of going through IVF the first time is a journey into the unknown, and no matter how much you prepare for it, as patients, you will always be in over your head. There will be pain- physical, mental, emotional, financial, all of it- but you never know how much or even if all of the pain and sacrifice will all be worth it for you and your family.

Going through all of that and then deciding to do it all again is one of the toughest decisions we've ever had to make as a family. It's no longer just questions of whether we want to do all of the difficult things or not, but how to best accomplish them given everything we've been through already. Dr. Werlin is still the one of a kind savant that somehow combines unparalleled medical acumen with a bedside manner that will be unique for the rest of our lifetimes. But, now as grizzled veterans of the IVF process, we needed the most pragmatic version of him possible on a number of occasions, and he delivered each time. We will always remember and hold dear the hours spent consulting with him going over what options we had remaining that ultimately led to the positive result. It's those moments where he makes the worried mind at ease and turn the chaotic into calm that are absolutely crucial to the process. He has been our partner in the most important venture of our lives, and we were all getting on our horses for one more ride.

We would be remiss to not mention your first class staff- nurses, front office, embryologists, etc. You have all become family over the last 4 years. From being there with us for the hardest moments to celebrating the biggest, you are all forever part of our lives. We want to especially thank our nurse, Jojo, who has been with us every step of the way. Her kindness, compassion, and love of what she does is evident each and every day. She is one of a kind.

So this isn't a thank you for our result, this is a thank you for your process. Your methodology, your skill as a practitioner, your grace, your calm, how much your excellent staff reflects your values, and most importantly, simply for being you. Without you, the version of us (present and future) that exists would be so very different than it is today, and there just aren't that many people you can say that about.

So- from the very bottom of our hearts and the top of our minds, thank you so very, very much.

I almost lost my life due to the extremely poor care I received from Dr. Werlin. A very long story short... I started feeling extreme pain 4 days after my egg retrieval so my husband rushed me to the ER only to find out i was internally bleeding and loosing blood quickly. I was that person screaming bloody murder in the ER until they could finally knock me out on pain meds after 2 different doses. At this point the ER doctors were aware of my recent egg retrieval/ stim medications and were trying to contact my fertility doctor. Unfortunately for us it was a holiday weekend and they couldn't get ahold of our clinic for sometime. At this point the wedding hadn't stopped so they admitted me into the ICU for close monitoring. Thank the Lord after two blood transfusions over night my bleeding ended up stopping the next morning so I didn't need exploratory surgery. I was discharged from ICU 24 hours later and sent home to recover. I could barley walk for weeks, couldn't lay down on a bed for 4 days and hardly slept from all the pain and medicine withdrawals I had from pumping me with narcotics in the hospital. We never found the source of the bleeding. Fast forward 7 months later.. I find an amazing endometriosis specialist at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale Arizona, when she opened me up she found my dead ovary and Fallopian tube.. the same "Amazingly healthy" ovary doctor werlin retrieved most of my 37 follicles from. Well folks there's my story from my traumatic experience with DR WERLIN and Coastal Fertility in Irvine California. I urge every single one of you reading my this post to go and get your self a second opinion of you've already starting treatment at this facility.

We can't speak for the complete experience but we can speak to the initial consultation with the PA Emily Yu and how she treated us. We have had one previous failed IVF procedure and several initial consultations with various IVF clinics and I have to say this experience by far was the best. Emily from the start was very compassionate and dedicated to making sure we understood all the steps of the IVf process. Her passion to want to educate patients and answer all the questions was very evident. We regret not starting with this team, not saying the result would have been different but definitely the patient experience we believe would have been more caring. At the end of the day all these clinics are set up for business and to get business, but it's the people that care early on in the process that are the different makers in how a patient feels at the end of such a difficult process. Thank you Emily Yu, and team, at Costal Fertility for your time and sharing your passion for a positive patient experience.

We had a great experience with everyone at Costal Fertility however Doctor Werlin is the one the makes that place truly special. From the beginning of our journey, he always made sure to to provide us with the care and attention that we needed to not only make an informed decision but to also be comfortable a long the way.
