I want to begin by saying planned parenthood is absolutely a godsend! I have been to multiple locations in LA and I've felt welcomed and supported by every location except this one.
The women working the front desk were not very welcoming. The woman doing my blood work didn't even tell me her name and didn't look me in the eye once. The doctor was so short and rude. She made me feel very uncomfortable. She tried accusing me of missing a visit at a different location even though that information was incorrect. She was cold and and intimidating, she also threw my cup of water out with so much force that the water splashed back up at my face and completely drenched me.
I'm a huge advocate for planned parenthood, this is the first bad experience I had. So I highly recommend the other locations in LA - all of them are very loving, supportive, and helpful, but maybe try to stay clear of this one if you can.

I like the place I just don’t like today the way they made me feel as if what I was trying to do to save my life was not OK as like they was trying to talk me out of doing prep like who wants to catch HIV if they’re sexually active, why are you trying to talk me out of this? Why do you keep asking me the same question why do I wanna take it duh Who doesn’t want to take it who does not want to be prevented from HIV why make me feel like it’s not OK thing to do and I hate that they give you time to be there if my appointment is at 11 why I’m Being seen at 12 like why set a time and don’t see them at that time.

Every time I’m in need of help regarding my health or birth control, Planned parenthood helps me, I’ve been a patient since I was 17 years old. They are a big help to anyone who is in need or is scared that they just had unprotected intercourse when your a teen, they will help with any questions or concerns. I always come out happy from my appointment with them. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs help regarding any issues..

This company provides the worst services ever, I’ve been trying to go to an urgent appointment since this morning and at the first location I went to they took an hour to see me and in the end they were going to reschedule me for another day! Now I came to this one because they had appointments in the afternoon and I called to let them know that I was a few minutes late because I was stuck in traffic and they told me that I didn’t have any appointments scheduled. If a person needs to come to these places and medical care centers it’s not for a game or a joke, it’s really about people’s reproductive health and it should be given more importance than anything else!!! In these places they lack humanity to do what they do, they shouldn’t work just to receive payment, they should work for the love for humanity..

I’m posting this on both the West Hollywood and Hollywood locations as I am shocked at planned parenthood and their lack of care/ ability.\nThe staff at these locations seem to be incompetent to people’s health and care.\n\nI’ve now been three times to both locations. The first two times I was not tested for what I specifically asked to be tested for (BV). The second time I was there from 10:30-2pm and there was another lady who hadv been there longer than me and waited just as long.\nI waited and waited for the results and finally it got so bad and painful that I finally made an appointment and paid out of pocket $600 for labs and office visit at a proper doctors office. I’m currently unemployed and with no insurance and one of the reasons why I was using planned parenthood services.\n\nI called today to find out they didn’t even test me for yeast or BV! After finding out I was positive through the paid for labs and doctor, I was given antibiotics in which case have waited and still feels as though it isn’t fully cleared. Today I made the appointment at planned parenthood to once again check if it is still present and some peace of mind without paying another $600 out of pocket only to be told that because I was 8 minutes late because of the grid lock bumper to bumper traffic, trying to cross Vermont (thanks google)- they refused to see and test me. I explained how the last time I waited close to 5 hours only to not be tested for what I had and they brought me back quickly.\nI sat talking to one of the lady reps for 30 minutes in which I could have been seen quickly given it was ONLY 8 minutes of crossing the Vermont traffic and park, to be told repeatedly how they wouldn’t see me and how they wouldn’t have tested me for what I had called and made the appointment for and had some run around story of how the appointment made was wrong and the people needed weren’t there. I must include that in this rather long winded explanation as to why they wouldn’t see me - it was included that it was the end of the day and everyone was ready to go home!\nDuring this 30 minutes which is usually the length of time I’ve waited half naked to be seen, I could have just been tested and out the door..\n\nI would also like to include that this woman had the audacity to tell me that BV doesn’t lead to infertility and said “I’m not sure where you’re getting your information from” and we spent a few minutes arguing as I know very well from not only doctors telling me but a quick google search will also inform anyone that BV leads to infertility when left untreated…Planned parenthood is currently leaving me left untreated and also incorrectly informing young ladies with misinformation. But seeing as she so arrogantly and ignorantly tried telling me I was wrong, here is pulled from AI- “If left untreated, bacterial vaginosis (BV) can increase the risk of serious health complications, including pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), which can lead to infertility, a higher chance of contracting other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) like HIV, and pregnancy complications like premature birth\n\nIf planned parenthood is so incompetent after three tries of calling to get tested for yeast and BV and each time I haven’t been tested and even told that the appointment I made wouldn’t have tested me for it - I think you guys need to remove that you offer these services to young women who are expecting their health and care to be considered important and put first. Not tell them\n“well it’s 3:30 now and it’s almost the end of our day and everyone wants to go home”. It was 8 minutes. I had been left waiting at least 4 hours the last time and wasn’t even tested properly.\n\nWhen asked if I wanted to reschedule the West Hollywood location wouldn’t see me for another 5 days! I'm sorry but out of the four people waiting outside and two being men, with I would imagine, very different appointments needed- am I not a patient? At what point did I not become a patient that needed to also be seen?
The condescending attitude from the entire staff at Hollywood from walking through the door, was highly highly questionable. And with the current administration, the amount of people out jobs, you think they'd be more grateful for still having theirs. Not being so condescending to a helpless young woman who repeatedly has looked for help.

Do not go here and do not waste your time. If you don't have insurance they quoted me $90 for office visit on the phone and then when I got there they told me it was $380 for the office visit not including any of the testing for the Pap smear. This place is a waste of time. The woman at the front had an attitude.
