Review of Lane Fertility Institute from Jordan Pierson
Dr Lane and team have been wonderful partners over the years. I froze my eggs with Lane Fertility in 2018 which was a great experience, and when I had to change clinics due to moving, insurance, etc, Dr Lane helped remove a number of roadblocks. I highly recommend Dr Lane and her team for any fertility related services.
Review of Lane Fertility Institute from Yinna Vellichor
This is a small, well-managed clinic — no crowds, no chaos. Every appointment feels thoughtful and unhurried, with plenty of time for questions and clear explanations. The team is responsive to follow-ups and messages, which made me feel well-supported throughout. If you're considering surrogacy, this clinic truly simplifies the process. They're well-connected, organized, and everything runs smoothly from start to finish. Highly recommend.

Do not donate your eggs at this clinic — they are scammers.\nThey promise to pay you exactly $5,000 within 90 days of the donation, but they never follow through. They disappear, ignore your calls, and never respond to emails.\n\nI trusted them. I went through the procedure on January 9, and to this day, I haven’t received any payment or even a response.\n\nDo not trust Michell Dang. She is the one who offers the service, making all kinds of promises, but once the donation is done, she vanishes — along with everyone else supposedly in charge of the compensation.\n\nStay away from this place. Don’t let them take advantage of you too..

Review of Lane Fertility Institute from Kilmar Ramirez
I urge all potential egg donors, fertility professionals and Intended Parents to not proceed with this institution.\n\nAs someone involved in the fertility space, I have experienced firsthand serious concerns with this practice. Egg donors have reported not being paid more than 100 of them, for their time and commitment, and fertility professionals have been left without compensation for services rendered. There are also troubling reports of bills being placed under donors’ names, leading to collection notices—an extremely unethical and damaging practice.\n\nIn my opinion, this clinic has operated irresponsibly and unethically. The recent name change from Lane Fertility Institute to Conceptions Fertility appears to be an attempt to distance the practice from previous financial and legal issues, including outstanding debts and lawsuits.\n\nPlease protect yourself—do not donate or do business with this clinic. Promises may be made, but follow-through is unreliable, and communication becomes nonexistent when issues arise.\n\nEgg donors, fertility professionals and Intended Parents deserve transparency, respect, and integrity. Sadly, that has not been the experience here.\n\nPLEASE GO TO ANOTHER CLINIC.

After a year of timed intercourse at 35 with no success, I came to Lane Fertility with BBT charts and OPK photos. Instead of pushing expensive tests, Dr. Lane analyzed my 12-month cycle data and found I kept missing the actual ovulation window. The nurses taught me to combine OPKs with ultrasound tracking, scheduling scans around my night shifts.\n\nWhen three natural cycles failed, she prescribed low-dose letrozole but limited it to 5 days monthly: "We want minimal stimulation—your ovaries respond well." On transfer day, the embryologist was refreshingly honest: "This thawed embryo is grade-average. We have three more if needed."\n\nAt 6 weeks when I bled, they squeezed me in for a same-day scan. After confirming the heartbeat, Dr. Lane personally reviewed my progesterone levels weekly. Now 16 weeks along, they're still helping transition me to an OB..

Review of Lane Fertility Institute from Sydney S.
I had a very disappointing experience with Lane Fertility Institute as a first time donor. My experience started back in October 2024 where I was welcomed with full time communication. That changed when it came time to donate my eggs. The week I went to Novato, my mom came as my companion. She didn't receive her flight information until the day of and arrived at the hotel where Lane Fertility booked our stay. Our hotel was utterly disgusting and disappointing to know that is where they put their donors. The hotel looked more like a crack den. My mother arrived late and had to navigate getting into the room. The hotel had no lights outside which is NOT safe for any women especially an egg donor. The door/hinge would not lock to the hotel room. It was not a place of comfort for any egg donor to rest their head during a critical experience. My mother had checked me and her into the Best Western that is only 3-5 minutes away from the hotel Lane Fertility TRIED to put us. The next day was my arrival and the flight was cancelled because Lane Fertility didn't pay the difference. Within 10-20 minutes, a new flight was booked and I had a hour to run to the gate on the other side of the airport. I arrive to Novato and thankfully my mom had rented a car because Lane Fertility didn't disburse my $600 gift card that they had promised for food, travel, or other amenities during my stay. It took about the 3rd day to finally receive my gift card. Our time at the hospital for my egg donation was fine. No complaints there until they took my eggs. The day after they took my eggs, I was feeling the worst of the worst and I had expressed to Michelle Dang that I don't know if I will be able to fly knowing how sick I was. She ensured everything will be fine and booked my flight to go to back to Los Angeles. The flight that was booked was a 5 hour flight versus a 2 hour flight back into Los Angeles. As soon as I got onto my flight to go back to Los Angeles, I threw up and was told I couldn't fly. My luggage and my dignity was left at the airport. Lane Fertility went ghost after I was kicked off my flight. They were unresponsive when it came to booking another night at a hotel since I was kicked off my flight after expressing how sick I was feeling to Michelle Dang. My mom extended her stay and booked another night for us to go to into Lane Fertility the next day to receive fluids. The next day I had the pleasure to meet Dr. Lane myself. Lane Fertility booked our flights to go back home. She gave me the fluids so I can go return home safely. I made it home safely but when it came to reimbursement for our extra stay, it was nonexistent. My pay for my egg donation was also nonexistent. It took about 4 months to finally receive my compensation from Lane Fertility. Lane Fertility was screening my calls, emails and blocking me so I had no access in getting contact with them. After threatening legal action, that's when Lane Fertility was open to giving me my compensation for egg donation. I advise no one to go to this egg fertility. They are taking advantage of young women especially as a woman of color - it is very upsetting to know that this is how they view and respect women and people of their own. Save yourself the headache and don't entertain this place.

I had a very disappointing and concerning experience with Lane Fertility Institute as a first-time donor. After the procedure, I was asked to sign a legal document about future donations. I told them I would consider donating again, but only after receiving compensation for my previous cycle.\n\nShortly after, I received a call from Michelle Dang, the donor coordinator, asking if I would be interested in donating again. I expressed hesitation because I had not yet been compensated and had seen reviews from other donors stating they were not paid on time. Michelle told me they could expedite my payment if I agreed to donate again. However, after I stated that I was considering it, she later confirmed they would not expedite my previous compensation because I had hesitated — even though I never declined.\n\nWhen the date for my compensation arrived — which was the latest they could legally pay me — it became nearly impossible to get in touch with them to confirm that payment would be made on time.\n\nOn top of that, I received a bill from Quest Diagnostics for lab work that should have been covered by Lane Fertility. Despite repeatedly being told that the issue had been handled, Quest confirmed they had not received any communication from Lane Fertility. It took months of emails, phone calls, and texts before they finally resolved the billing issue.\n\nOverall, I felt unsupported and misled throughout this process. The lack of communication, delayed payment, and mishandling of the lab bill made me feel unsafe and undervalued as a donor. I would not recommend Lane Fertility Institute based on this experience..

Extremely knowledgeable and attentive care team - I could not recommend them more highly. The level of care here really honored what a deeply personal and sensitive process this can be.\n\nDr. Lane is with you through the entire process, from first consultation to every ultrasound through to the retrieval. She does it all. She's trained a first-class team that can answer every question you can think of before, during and after the process (pricing, insurance, side effects, options for years down the road, you name it).\n\nI vetted a number of clinics in the Bay Area before choosing this one. I have referred a number of girlfriends to Dr. Lane already!

Stay clear from these people.\nThey never compensated me for my donation just like the rest of the women on these reviews.\nPlease see the attached emails between me, the donor team and their associates regarding my payment compensation that was due 11/18/24.\nThey also have plenty of other law suits going on. Simply search the name Danielle Lane.\nTake care of yourselves people. Doctors or not, they will rob you..

Wish there was an option to leave 0 stars. To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement of how I feel. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

So sadden by the experience I had here! I wouldn't recommend this place at all. Be careful if you have insurance and they say your insurance doesn't cover it but really does. They just try to have you pay more out of pocket. Few times I called out the financial person and she didn't have an answer for me and turn around and try to say "I guess we can try to charge your insurance"
Why didn't you try in the first place before charging me thousands of dollars. FYI I reached out to my insurance and made sure all the codes they had given me were either covered or not! (My insurance wanted me to submit a claim saying they're doing fraud)
I didn't because I was just so ready to go to a new place who actually cares about what you're going through and not money hungry! I hope the financial lady can get more training to have answers!

This facility is so unorganize. I was set up at this clinic as my monitoring clinic during my if cycle as a surrogate. I came here almost weekly for 2 month, and every time dr is delayed, they don't know I have an appointment, they forgot and whatever else excuse I got. the worst part was and they couldn't remember who my agency was and who should pay for the visits, couldn't find CC .... just overall unorganized. not recommended

If you're thinking this is going to be another gory bashing, another slaughtering review for Lane Fertility, I'll do my best to refrain. I think this clinic has more than enough of those and I don't want to add insult to injury. However, I will say....
After reading so many angry and negative reviews, I naively thought I would give this clinic the benefit of the doubt. Afterall, I was pursuing an entirely different service than many reviewers below and I am not associated in any way to previous patients. In fact, I was on my way to leave a glowing review upon leaving the office as I found Dr. Lane to be initially very helpful, personable and accommodating during my visit.
I couldn't be more wrong.
I was called the next day and was informed that I would be charged more than 2X the amount than was agreed upon in office, due to a costly mistake on the clinic side. After some back and forth phone conversations filled with insulting and passive aggressive apologies, including with Dr. Lane herself, there were very minimal attempts to make amends. As a patient, I was left feeling manipulated, belittled, helpless and taken advantage of.
Please. Read the reviews and don't ignore the trend. Don't be the open and trusting person that I was.

I donated eggs to this clinic October of last year. I was owed compensation well WITHIN 90 days. Not UP TO 90 days. That 90 day mark was January 25th of this year. Well it is now MARCH 19 2024. And you guessed it, no compensation.
Not only that, but I was emitted to the emergency room TWICE because I had 1.7 liters of fluid in my abdomen due to direct medical negligence of my surgery. They were completely unserious and uninterested in providing quality care leading up to the surgery and after. The witty tones and condescending remarks as if this was my first time donating before.
They simply refuse to pay me and make BS excuses for it. They told me they were waiting for deposits then said they sent payments out. Well why didn't I receive anything?!?!? Am I not the only donor waiting to receive compensation?!? Probably not. Which isn't my problem. As a business you don't wait to pay people, you cover the bill and wait for your reimbursement. You should have business insurance for these kind of things. This is wage theft and medical negligence.
Below is a copy of my contract I agreed to with them.
I've been emailing and calling them for almost 10 weeks straight. And all they did was lie, lead me on and ghost me. The payment coordinator even has a nerve to go on multiple vacations a MONTH. You have money to pay your employees but not your donors?
Think 3 times before donating or even doing business with them. They're shady and wicked asf.

This doctor took my money of over 30k... she also took my donor sperm and did not make any embryos. She refuses to give me my full medical records and will not return calls. She is unethical and now I have to pursue authorities as she stole my genetic property and refuses to contact me. Please run!

Review of Lane Fertility Institute from Victoria C.
I was a donor here in June , I produced 24 mature eggs I have been compensated today before my deadline ,I was skeptical at first bc multiple past donors came to me and vocalized they haven't been paid yet but some of them came to me and told me they have received their compensation, the clinic is making an effort to pay all donors . I was contacting them persistently almost every week after the donation , I was reimbursed for everything , food , money spent on the trip , even my emergency room hospital bill , the entire amount from the agency , I have since took down my past review and this is now my updated one , I appreciated the staff there and the treatment before my donation , but I will never donate here again because I had to threaten legal action afterwards to enforce the agreement and get paid within the timeframe of the contract , Everyone was very nice to me up until the time I asked for the money owed to me by the deadline , I didn't want to sound like I did it just for the money I was just holding the clinic accountable to an agreement That was made . On a positive note ,I'm so happy that my eggs are going to most likely help multiple families and I pray their all successful, thank you so much !
