I couldn’t be happier with my experience at Spring. The team is incredibly communicative, empathetic, cheerful and patient. The app makes communication quick and efficient. The multiple SF locations made morning check ins easy and convenient. They went so above and beyond every step of the way. For example, the week of the FET, they sent me flowers. I couldn’t stop crying. They turned such an emotional, difficult journey into a process that felt hopeful and had a plan. I’m so grateful for this experience and would recommend to everyone!.

This is a fertility clinic. As far as the type of clinic, the name says it all. Upon arrival, I thought I was lost. I asked the security on the building lobby. They were friendly and professional. They told me where the clinic's entrance was. I made it in the clinic and I mentioned it to the clinic's front desk and she knew my name. The kind and friendly front desk staff personally guided me to the waiting room. She gave me a heads up that my friend will be notified that I have arrived and would be waiting for her.

We used Spring Fertility 3.5 years ago and worked with Dr. Harris at the time in Sunnyvale. He was fantastic, and so knowledgable and we had a healthy baby girl. In the Fall of 2023 we decided to go for another egg retrieval and worked with Dr Tran at the time - Dr Harris had left. Dr. Tran was also so wonderful and knowledgable. He isn't the hand holding type, but we didn't need that. We wanted the smartest person in the room and the highest likelihood of getting pregnant, and that's what we felt we got. We ended up only getting ONE egg retrieved, but that egg turned into a healthy embryo, and I am now 33 weeks pregnant with that embryo. I have a lot of friends who have gone through IVF in the bay area and I think the experience and reputation of Spring Fertility is unmatched. I would highly, highly recommend. Their facilities are so clean and you feel very taken care of during the retrieval process and during appointments. I was very scared during my first retrieval and it went so smoothly. Their anesthesiologists are just wonderful. For regular check in appts, You can get in and out of there pretty quickly which is very important when you're having so many appointments. I would highly recommend all the doctors at Spring.

Dr. Zore and her team are the best! From the very first phone consultation until we saw our baby's heart beating on screen, she took the anxiety out of the process and helped us get pregnant on the first try. We had been working with another fertility center for two years prior and had endured four egg retrievals and six losses before we made a big decision to relocate to the Bay Area and see Dr. Zore on a recommendation from our cousin who also had success with her. Having come from a place where everything that could go wrong did go wrong, I can tell you firsthand that Dr. Zore and her team run an efficient, caring, and successful operation. I wish she could be my OB as well! I cannot recommend her highly enough, make the call!

Spring is wonderful! I did a ton of research and am so happy with my decision to freeze my eggs here. I have some ovarian cyst complications so I really wanted a doctor who would slow down and hear my concerns and make the right plan for me. That is Dr. Pasternak in a nutshell. She is warm and thoughtful while also being direct and decisive - qualities that make navigating the confusing fertility world a lot easier.
In addition to Dr. Pasternak, the whole Spring team is awesome. You are assigned a dedicated coordinator, nurse and financial contact in addition to the on-site staff and lab team. I had several challenging moments (from difficult blood draws to a refrigerator issue that jeopardized my meds) and Spring was super caring and helpful every step of the way. I'm really pleased with my egg retrieval experience and results today, and I will definitely be working with Spring and Dr. Pasternak for my next cycle!

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Pasternak and her team. Dr. Pasternak was compassionate, thorough, and had great bedside manner. Her team was prompt with response to questions or concerns I had. Every individual has their own challenges with trying to conceive and Dr. Pasternak was able to pinpoint my issue and treat it. She promised me a family and she definitely kept her word. She helped my husband and I conceive our baby girl who is now 5 weeks old.

I have had an amazing experience with Spring Fertility San Francisco/SOMA locations. Dr. Zore, her care team, and the wonderful nurses and admin staff are all so kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Every appointment is right on time and so efficient, which is super important given the frequency of appointments during a retrieval and transfer cycle. The Salve app is extremely easy to use and I always receive a response from my care team almost immediately when I call or message via the app. The IVF process can be daunting but Dr. Zore alleviated so much of my stress and anxiety by taking the time to answer all of my questions, discuss treatment plans in depth, and give her honest opinion on different protocols, medicine, etc. Every ultrasound and procedure was completed by Dr. Zore so I had ample opportunities to check in with her and chat through my latest symptoms, questions, etc. Dr. Zore also made sure to call me to check-in regarding both good and less desirable news, which made me feel like I was always seen and heard as a patient. I highly recommend Dr. Zore and Spring Fertility!!

Don't let yourself be mesmerized by their dazzling powerpoint presentations on the odds of success when doing IVF with them. I openly laughed when they whipped that out (I have advanced quant schooling). My partner was blinded by the desire for a baby and nodded along and didn't care that they were misreading the stats/probabilities (news flash: doctors are not statisticians). Top tip: ask for a physical copy of the exact presentation (it's a pitch book, actually) they show you. Then go home, and compare their numbers with the publicly available data from the FDA/NIH/USgovt.
Other important items about Spring:
Doctors = C+ We had Dr. Klatsky. Nice guy, but disorganized and made last-minute changes to the treatment in-flight on several occasions without explanation. Funny how the cycles always failed, right? Ultimately, he told us he was moving to NYC to build the practice there. Clearly, he was much more interested in being a business owner than a care provider. Sorry, doc. You can't serve both masters.
Office = A- Nice space in a convenient location (for city dwellers). Front-desk staff were the best part of the entire operation, truly. They were always courteous, quiet, organized and respectful of privacy.
Phlobotomists = B- Never had a "fantastic" experience there. If you want a painless needle-prick, go visit the old mamas working at Quest Diagnostics (they're the most gentle professionals I've met in a medical setting).

Patient management and communication = C+ The doctors aren't great at communicating. The coordinators are thankfully a little better. And the portal/app is so-so. Just accept that you're going to have to PULL information and updates out of them. Assume nothing. Assume they don't even know which day of the week it is.
Billing = C+ Not a complete failure, but I wouldn't trust them to balance my checkbook.
Outcomes = F Not gonna sugar-coat it. We spent a few years and a lot of money at Spring. I'm sure their private equity owners (Wildcat Capital Management) came out alright. Look them up. https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/spring-fertility-management/company_financials
Overall = C- Do yourself a huge favor and just go with the IVF clinic at your nearest university's hospital. And, remember that this is a numbers game (sadly more for the ladies than the gents, but that's baseball, friends). And ladies, if you're starting this process at the tender age of 37, please adjust your expectations accordingly.
Important: Don't even think about trying CCRM San Francisco (confusingly, they are located in Menlo Park). CCRM isn't any better than Spring. In fact, if you just go off of Yelp reviews, CCRM is markedly worse. And yes, we tried CCRM for a while as well. And yes, it was as bad as the reviews say it is.

If you are in need for any fertility consults, treatments, or procedures... RUN, do not walk, to Spring Fertility. I elected to have my eggs frozen and was drawn to Spring for their great reviews. This review is for Dr. Zore specifically, but also all the front desk staff, nurses, and assistants are top notch. I am a lesbian and in an interracial relationship and always experience some anxiety about whether we will feel comfortable in family planning spaces. Spring and Dr. Zore immediately alleviated any concerns and were so incredibly kind to me and my wife. Dr. Zore answered all of our questions, gave us raw data and her expert opinions, and made us feel at ease from the minute we met her. The staff is so incredibly kind and personable -- I almost looked forward to near daily blood draws! I truly cannot say enough good things about the entire clinic. They have this down to a science (most so than it already is!) and are available at all times to answer your questions via app when you're not in the office. Do yourself, your future self, and your family a favor-- head to Spring Fertility for all of your fertility-based needs. If Dr. Zore is any representation of the rest of the doctors, you will have an incredible experience that leaves you feeling empowered with knowledge and cared for as if you are family.
