Review of Conceptions Florida from Alyssa Z. Henriquez
I highly recommend conceptions Florida for any woman who wants to try IVF or, like me at first, just find out if my body is right before trying to conceive. I first went to conceptions before Covid- they have been with me through the years as I learned I had fibroids, polyps, and eventually surgery to confirm endometriosis. Later, they helped me every step of the way through two IVF cycles. It’s otherwise a scary and taxing journey, but the conceptions staff have been nothing short of spectacular, and my experience through everything has been SO smooth. They are attentive, responsive, caring, and my spouse and I felt cared for. No rushing me through appointments, even though I had so many questions. Most of all they explained every step and were so positive through it all. A positive, hopeful attitude for me was everything. What made this an easy choice for IVF is that they have some of the best IVF success rates in the region. Kudos to Dr Hernandez Rey and Maggie Gonzalez PA who helped me through it all, and to my IVF nurse Anay, and my spontaneous pregnancy nurse Alex. This is the place to go for fertility care!

A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE: Disorganization, Lack of Hygiene, and Zero Humanity\n\nWe came to this clinic after losing our first baby to a genetic disease. We were devastated, hoping to find help, empathy, and professionalism. But what we experienced during the nearly two months we were there was exactly the opposite.\n\nFrom the start, they alarmed us by saying I might have ovarian cysts, when in reality I had simply ovulated from both ovaries. Soon after, Dr. Jackie performed a hysteroscopy — a horrible experience: not only was it painful and lacking in sensitivity, but the room had dirty instruments. It was a moment of absolute terror for me. To make things worse, right after that same procedure, she suggested I have another D&C, just months after a traumatic birth and curettage with my previous baby.\n\nThe DISORGANIZATION AND LACK OF HYGIENE were constant: urine samples left uncollected in the bathroom, dirty instruments, impersonal treatment, and poor communication. One day they even called us to join a virtual consultation link while we were physically sitting in the waiting room! The disorganization was so extreme that I had nightmares about them transferring someone else’s embryo into me. We lost nearly two precious months of our genetic treatment because no one ever mentioned the PROBE, even though it was urgent given our genetic history.\n\nThe worst part was the genetic negligence. Despite the fact that we had lost a baby due to a recessive disease — the very reason we were there — they told us my husband was not a carrier. It was us, who contacted the genetics lab directly to repeat the tests. Four days after the lab confirmed he was a carrier, the clinic finally called us to “share the news.” Too late and completely out of sync.\n\nDr. Armando Hernández-Rey only showed up at our final consultation, where we gave him all of our feedback and requested our medical records. At first, he tried to justify the staff’s behavior and mistakes, but after hearing everything, he ended up apologizing.\n\nWe waited over 1.5 hours to receive our medical records, only for the receptionist to print them incorrectly. Forty-five minutes later, a girl from the finance department — not even part of patient care — printed everything correctly and apologized for the mess. Almost four hours later, with our records finally in hand, we walked out feeling a huge sense of relief.\n\nSwitching to IVF Florida with Dr. Luis Hoyos was the best decision we could have made. There, we found humanity, professionalism, and common sense. Today I have a baby growing inside me, and I know it’s thanks to the change we made in time.\nPS: I haven’t needed any additional procedure or D&C — contrary to what Dr. Jackie had insisted..

She was our source of hope during one of the most difficult chapters of our lives. She was always there through the fear, the questions, and the heartbreak. Her quick responses to my quries and worries truly helped ease my anxiety as I felt supported every step of the way.
