When i called to make the appointment I specifically asked to be seen by the specialist, I was assured that I would and was charged a specialist copay fee accordingly. Now that my appointment is in 30 mins I am being told that I would be seen by a nurse practitioner. Had to cancel and was charged $75 for cancellation which was higher than the copay.\n\nYou could've just been transparent from the begining..

Review of Brown Fertility from David Stephens

Well this is our first visit and they failed to tell my wife her insurance covered nothing so they wanted the full amount up front. A little warning would have been NICE after our 3 hour drive..

Review of Brown Fertility from Estefanía Roso

I started my first IVF cycle in March 2024, but unfortunately, it didn't work on my first attempt. I decided to continue and try again. Today, in May 2025, I have my baby in my arms, a healthy and beautiful girl. I definitely recommend them. I am so grateful to the Brown Fertility team. Thank you so much for helping me fulfill my biggest dream of becoming a mother.

This one star is only to their billing department. I was blessed enough to conceive on my own before I got deep into my treatments. I informed the staff in Feb about my natural pregnancy and was to told allow 4-6weeks for processing. I followed up in April/May was informed that my account was not processed and they were working on it. Well here we are in June and I have yet to receive my refund back. Now they are telling me I have to wait for a refund board that conveys in June. Which I don’t understand have to do with me. The contract I signed said 4-6 weeks. When it was time for me to submit payment I did so in their timely manner. I now I feel like I’m being punished for naturally conceiving..

Review of Brown Fertility from Wanpimol Skoglund

I had my embryo transfer in July 2024, which unfortunately did not result in a successful pregnancy. After the transfer, I requested a biopsy for my remaining embryo, as I was advised it could help with my next cycle.\n\nOn July 29, 2024, I asked for authorization to move forward with the biopsy, expressing my desire to complete it before deciding whether to proceed with another retrieval. I received confirmation that billing would send me a cost sheet, which I promptly signed after receiving it.\n\nOn August 10, 2024, I reached out for an update on the status of the genetic testing, but there was no clear response. On August 12, I followed up again and was told they were confirming with billing, but I hadn't heard anything definitive. On August 13, I was told the biopsy could still be done in August if we received authorization.\n\nHowever, despite my clear request to have the biopsy completed before considering another retrieval, the clinic continued to suggest the possibility of starting another cycle while I was still waiting on the biopsy results. This repeated suggestion made me feel that the clinic wasn’t prioritizing getting the biopsy done as quickly as possible.\n\nOn August 20, 2024, I received an update that the biopsy could be done, but only if we had authorization. At this point, the lack of communication and constant delays had left me frustrated. I decided to wait, but still, the process dragged on. Finally, on August 27, 2024, after getting authorization from my insurance provider, I learned that the lab had not yet received my sample. I was informed that biopsies were only done once a month, but no updates came after that.\n\nI became increasingly frustrated with how hard it was to get answers from the clinic. Despite multiple calls and emails, it felt impossible to get clear communication, and I was left in limbo for weeks. On September 28, 2024, I finally received the biopsy results, almost two months after my initial request.\n\nDue to these delays, lack of communication, and ongoing difficulty reaching the nurse team, I decided to seek care at another clinic. I feel that my concerns were not addressed in a timely manner, and I hope the clinic can improve their communication and processes moving forward.

Review of Brown Fertility from Twila C.

I do not recommend Brown Fertility!!!! I've been seeing Brown Fertility Since Oct 2022 my last appointment was April 17 2024. I will say the nursing staff truly cares about their patients, not sure about Dr. Brown and his money managers. Due to wrong paper work being filed with insurance back on June 2023 my insurance denied a claim, while I was in the middle of a cycle, keep in mind I had been a patient for 8 months going on a regular basis and paying in accordance with their policies. When insurance denied the initial claim I was told if I don't pay the $8k balance immediately I would be dropped from the cycle. I begged them to give me 2 weeks to fight with the insurance and they refused they gave me 5 days. A week after I paid the 8K insurance approved the claim. I started then asking for a refund. Brown fertility REFUSED!!! They claimed they had to wait for all insurance claims to be paid before they could start the process. Well thanks to multiple failed transfers we kept going back. Finally in March of 2024 a transfer finally took and we are pregnant with Twins (the only reason they have 1 star and not 0) After my last appointment on April 17 2024. I called and asked when can they start the refund process. They said once the insurance claims had all been paid. keep in mind we are talking about less then $200.00 for procedures when they owed me by this point over $6500. Finally May 1 2024 I was told all insurance claims had been paid and that they would push the refund through even though their policy is 90-120 business days. I called again in June as I had heard nothing and asked to speak to a manager to please expedite my refund. They said absolutely no one called. I called again in July and was told the previous manager was no longer with the company but was assured my refund would be started immediately and I can expect my check by August 20th. When didn't receive anything on the 20th I called again and was told there was no record of my call from July and that my refund hadn't been started yet. 3 MONTHS after ALL INSURANCE CLAIMS were PAID IN FULL, no refund started. I was then told how sorry they were this was happening and that my refund would be complete by mid September once the Dr signs off on the refund checks, and was told another manager would call me. I called today September 24,2024 and they said no refund check were cut for the month of September and I would get my check in October.

I would not recommend Brown Fertility to anyone. While yes they get results most times, they cause more stress and heartache then a fertility clinic should. I also had multiple issues with appointments being changed or moved around or not even put on the calendar as well. You will be just a number there and you are moved in and out like cattle. If you don't have the 1st appointment be prepared to wait, and heaven forbid you have a mid day appointment or you will wait hours past your appointment time.

You are required to pay in full up front before being added to their calendars and then they give you the run around about trying to get your money back. Best of luck to anyone that goes there.

Review of Brown Fertility from Laura E.

I am very sad to see the negative reviews on here about this clinic because we had the absolute best experience and the odds were not in our favor. They were a blessing to us from our first consultation with Dr. Brown when he looked us in the eye with full confidence and said "You will have a baby!" after feeling months of disappointment and helplessness. I appreciated Dr. Brown's academic approach and encouragement to follow the science - this made our treatments very Black and White versus feeling the overwhelm of whatever advice or tips people post to Social Media. We always were given super clear directions and they were available for calls if we ever had any confusion about next steps. The staff provided positivity and encouragement even when probability didn't appear to be on our side. We have even received regular email check ins and a Baby Shower gift from our favorite nurse because she has been truly so happy for us, just like the rest of the staff. Thank you to Brown Fertility for our Miracle Child!

Review of Brown Fertility from Christine M.

We had a service done here and after we were told the insurance covered and all we had to pay was $48 dollars we realized that we got billed and sent in the mail for $201. I called them and they pretty much just kept saying "miscommunication". The billing department wasn't really hearing me out and cut me out while I was venting and stating "are you ready to pay here because our document online to pay is off service and not working". I proceeded to tell her thanks for cutting me off instead of hearing me vent and she was laughing and saying "no no no I'm just saying". The financial department is very unprofessional. However, we didn't even see a physician for any of the service we got done. The service took exactly 15 minutes from start to end. Save your money and do your research with Brown Fertility. Go to a place that will treat you better and make your money worth it!

Wow over an hour and a half after our appointment time and after watching several patients come and go we finally were taken back. My advice is to go somewhere else but if you're going to stick with browns just don't bother showing up till an hour after your appointment time. It seems this is the one place showing up late is beneficial.

I seriously wish I had listened to the bad reviews. Tried to call multiple times to reschedule my appointment and was never called back, so I went to original appointment. When I showed up to my appointment, they called me back over 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. When I tried to reschedule the appointment while waiting for the appointment (because they were running so far behind and I had another appointment), they told me it would be a $50 charge, despite their inability to (a) call me back earlier in the week to reschedule or (b) start my appointment on time. The waiting room is also really uncomfortable and hot and has a blaring TV. I wouldn't recommend under any circumstances

In a time when couples are searching for answers and support, this company does not appear to have empathy for the situation. They rarely know what's going on, they ask the same questions over and over, they call to schedule appointments but don't really understand what stage you are at in the process. Constantly apologizing for negligence, they treat you as a number. They take your payments upfront before even arriving and make you wait for extended periods of time. We got up and walked out without anyone even following up to see why we were unhappy. The stress of the process was worth the money lost to not have to be subjected to this type of treatment. I would not refer this company to any couple looking to start a family together.

Review of Brown Fertility from Jeremiah A.

We have overall had a very poor experience with Brown Fertility. We are grateful that we have a baby due in 2 weeks but it has not been a pleasant experience. First off the nurses/staff lacks compassion and communication. Our egg retrieval cycle got postponed because it was not communicated to us that the father needed to get genetic testing done too. There were also multiple instances where my wife was asked if she was taking certain meds and the answer was no because we were never told she should have started them. And after the first and only biological embryo transfer failure (only one egg was retrieved) when my wife was depressed about no more biological children for her, there was just no compassion and basically got yelled at to go take the blood test that we knew would be negative. But the worst part has been the financial part. We were billed incorrectly and owed over $1600. They would not admit fault or that they owed us any money, even after they talked with our insurance company who told them we don't owe that money mind you, until I threatened to take them to small claims court. Then we got a call that 'o it looks like we owe you xyz' the exact amount we told them. Now it is over 4 months later and we still do have our money back because the refund was incorrectly sent to the insurance company instead of us. They are again "looking into it" It has been an absolute nightmare and we will be taking them to small claims court if it is not resolved in the next week.
Again we are very grateful for baby coming in 2 weeks but would never recommend them to someone looking for fertility treatment.
