Planned Parenthood - Honolulu Health Center

This was my first time going to Planned Parenthood and it was a really pleasant experience! The nurses were nice and made my visit very comfortable. They willingly answered any questions I had and were very professional throughout my appointment. I went in the morning, so there was plenty of parking and not a lot of traffic. I was in and out of there in 30 minutes!

I recently took my girlfriend to your clinic, and while the doctor was excellent (according to my girlfriend), I had a less positive experience with one of the nurses. I don’t want to assume or discriminate, but there was a Black nurse who came across as very unwelcoming and had a tone that felt rude. I’m not sure if she was having a bad day or if something else was going on, but it made the visit uncomfortable. That said, I want to highlight that the front desk staff were very helpful and welcoming, which I appreciated. Regardless of the situation, patients should always feel respected and cared for. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for others in the future..

always good staff and services, just be prepared for a wait usually. also, i think because of the network the Hawaii locations are part of, they can’t do the same low income price reductions that locations in other states can, so it can be expensive with no insurance. they will recommend other options if needed though. the staff are caring and do their best, and are kind and compassionate. i’ve had struggles getting good BC options and they’ve always been very helpful here and do their best to accommodate. thank you for your good work..

I went to Planned Parenthood today for an annual visit. The nursing provider Jill M was far from professional. It started when she yelled at my fiancé for wanting to be in the room with me for my visit. (I asked him to come with because I did not feel like I’d be heard.) I was in the room by myself while she dismissed my concerns about my body. It wasn’t until I said my period was late that she ran out of the room while I was mid sentence to get me a pregnancy test. Without even asking if there was any chance of pregnancy. She also laughed and rolled her eyes when I said I didn’t want an std test. It wasn’t until the last question that she actually acknowledged my concerns and pushed them off as just “pms symptoms”. I’m very disappointed in the services provided. Usually the staff are so nice and caring, but Jill was far from.
