Review of Fertility Solutions from Caitlin M.
I can't recommend Fertility Solutions enough! I found out about them and my doctor (Dr. Ania Kowalik) though the website https://www.fertilityiq.com/ (like Yelp for fertility clinics) and chose the clinic and my doctor because they were local and had received the highest rating. I couldn't agree more. Dr. Huang was scheduled to perform my egg-retrieval and embryo transfer and she was amazing too, extremely kind, patient and hopeful.
My husband and I were diagnosed with unexplained infertility, and had been trying naturally for 3.5 years. After 1 failed IUI treatment and 1 successful round of IVF, we are now expecting a baby girl in May 2017. I am still in shock!
With their many locations and very efficient practice, they made it as easy as possible to pursue fertility treatments without sacrificing humanity. For every single interaction I had, from calling to reset my password for the online portal to getting blood drawn to the egg retrieval and transfer I was treated with great empathy, care and kindness. I was terrified to purse fertility treatments, and while I know I was very lucky because it worked quickly, it wasn't half as bad as I had made it out to be.
I was proud to support a practice that is striving to provide affordable fertility solutions for all types of families.
Infertility was the worst thing I've ever gone though, but I will be forever grateful to this practice for helping me move forward and knocking me up :) I wish you all the best on your journey to create the family you deserve!

I found Dr. Rubin after seeing two different doctors at this practice focused on reproductive endocrinology. Dr. Rubin has been nothing short of magical! I came in with POI/perimenopause issues and polyps. Dr. Rubin is patient, attentive, and really understands the ways perimenopause impacts people lives. She came up with a prescription plan that includes testosterone that has been incredible for me. Finding a doctor that listens to their patient is unfortunately a rarity. Top that off with finding a provider that can get how the medical industrial complex can leave out queer, trans, and women of color is northing short of a miracle. Dr. Rubin has really been able to provide the necessary care I needed with a trauma-informed lens around how ob/gyn practices can be triggering for survivors. I have also had a positive experience with the clinic being HAES inclusive.\n\nIf you're part of the LGBTQ and/or POC community, dealing with anything related to ob/gyn issues (getting pregnant, HRT, gender affirming care, etc.), Dr. Rubin is the person you want in your corner!

Somebody like Antonio should not work at a fertility clinic. This is the second bad I experience I had with Antonio. He is rude, short and extremely unhelpful. He makes it nearly impossible to schedule an appointment. My OBGYN referred my husband and I to this clinic and my husband called to schedule and appointment and this time Antonio let him know that they do not do fertility treatments at OHSU male fertility.. and would not further explain. Makes no sense. Infertility is already so hard and Antonio makes it so much harder..

I am writing to express my frustration and concern regarding my wife’s an I recent experience with your office. She scheduled an appointment for December 12th a month in advance, but was unaware that she needed to complete a questionnaire beforehand. It wasn’t until she logged into MyChart to confirm the appointment that she discovered this requirement. Despite sending an email through MyChart, she never received a response.\n\nShe completed the questionnaire four days prior to the appointment, but to her surprise, it was still canceled without any communication from your office. She called the answering service for assistance, but the response was unhelpful and disrespectful , and she was not given the opportunity to speak with someone in a higher positionvt they even hung out the call on her. This situation has only added to our anxiety and stress, and the lack of support and communication has made this experience even more challenging.\nWe are still wisheing to be seen at OHSU, and we are requesting that her appointment be rescheduled as soon as possible her oregonl appointment supposed to be 12/12 we cant even believe its already given to someone eals . We would greatly appreciate it if someone could contact us promptly to resolve this issue and ensure she is able to .\nget an appointment as soon as possible.\n\nWe really appreciate any help we can get and i think we deserve to be respected ,Thank you for your attention to this matter..

Working with OHSU on our IVF journey has been a terrible experience. A family friend donated her eggs to us so my husband and I could start our family. During the process, OHSU ran out of basic medical supplies (gauge/bandages during blood retrieval), ended up losing her bloodwork, and was always very difficult to get into contact with. Given our friend donated her eggs, all parties signed legal paperwork denoting the embryos would belong to me and my partner, along with all financial responsibility; this was provided to OHSU. However, OHSU would contact our egg donor for updates and billing regarding the embryos (not us) even though the embryos are not legally hers, which causes all of us stress. Given this bad experience throughout, we stopped working with OHSU and transferred our genetic material to another clinic. We strongly recommend against OHSU..

Review of Fertility Solutions from Alexis Krieg
I had two IUI’s, two retrievals, and one transfer done at OHSU - and I’m thrilled to be pregnant (and thereby a bit biased). I was a patient of Dr Krieg’s (no relation), who was wonderfully caring and very knowledgeable — but ended up seeing most of the doctors in the practice throughout my time there, as they rotate who is in clinic. They are all great, and Drs Lee and Rubin have a particularly warm bedside manner. They did not push trendy tests or bells and whistles, and always walked me through the science of what we were doing.\nThe clinic is efficient and appointments (and I went to many!!) were almost always on time. The younger gentleman at the front desk knew us on sight and was always very kind and helpful.\nI know they have tons of patients, but the support of the nursing team (especially Ellen, Oanh, and Emily) really made me feel special! They were always kind, responsive, and helpful, even with the smallest question - often responding via MyChart and following up with a phone call same day.\nI know they’ve had some difficulties staffing their finance office, as we had some confusing billing over the summer and spring we’re still trying to sort out, but I fault that partially to my insurance company. If you can get a hold of Zoe on the finance team, she is a great resource.\nI haven’t tried any other clinics, but I reviewed pricing at ORM too and found OHSU was cheaper, and from chatting with other friends I think their patient management is better. 10/10 will recommend, and hopefully we’ll be back for Baby #2 in the future!

This practice has some of the best doctors and nurses. I was very nervous about going through ivf and everyone was helpful. Julie in Providence helped me get over my fear of blood work. She is always so kind and can answer so many of my questions. The communication was next level. If I called with a question within an hour or so a nurse or a doctor was calling me back with an answer. I'm sad to graduate to GYNO. I love Fertility Solutions and so happy they were part of my journey!

I have never felt compelled to a review for a doctor or medical clinic before but I was deeply hurt by the callous and prejudicial behavior of the doctors and the clinical staff under their direction. They are discriminating and racist and I highly advise staying away for your mental and physical well being.

I have never felt compelled to write a review for a doctor or a medical clinic before, but my time at Fertility Solutions was so terrible that I felt the need to share my experience. For any woman, having trouble conceiving is a agonizing, scary and confusing time. Like many women in this situation, I had no idea what to expect while going through the IVF process and was hoping for personal support, helpful guidance, and compassionate care throughout the process, which is absolutely NOT what I found at Fertility Solutions.
I felt rushed through the whole plan and was only given information on what to do next at the very last minute. I was even told "most women are too scared to know what the next step is, so we like to just do everything as it comes" after I complained for the 3rd time that I had NO IDEA what was going on and would like to know what the plan was. I was told on 2 separate occasions that I needed a prescription at such a last minute, that I was told that if it was too late for the pharmacy to fill the Rx, I would just have to be off schedule with the medication. I had to look up so much information on my own that I now feel like I could teach a class on the IVF process.
Communication was very poor. I had trouble speaking to someone on the phone every single time I called. The patient portal only lets you contact doctors or nurses on call, so you can't always send a message to your own personal doctor or even someone that you know there. Fertility Solutions took the already difficult process of IVF and made it even more emotionally, mentally and physically daunting.

I don't really give reviews but I had to do this for future clients notice who cares to know. I engaged with this service because there where affordable compared to other private clinic but unknowingly to me it was the biggest mistake I made. I booked an appointment online and was told to pay before I could come in on the 6th Nov, I arrived for the appointment but with the stress of even locating the place in the hospital I now had to produce the sample in the next 30mins . The Sample could not be produced and I was told to bring it from home . Which I was annoyed if that was the case y did you not offer that in the first place like every other practice: in that period I had to relocate homes from London and I asked for a refund as no sample had been produced or consultation received in less that 14 days which covers your consumer right but they refused. The customer service was very poor which felt like there where all about the money and not the test or your well being. I informed them I had relocated to Nottingham and can't make the journey back for a second appointment to London to drop of the sample which was not possible because the sample has a life span of 1hr and they should refund me with was left of my money after there administration charge as been taking out yet again I was refused saying I signed a no refund policy. For a health care service that's unfair From my experience with them the Costumer service was very poor as well and there were all about the money don't care about you or your well-being . In summary avoid if you can and don't want stress. I booked with another service for an appointment for semen analysis which said I should come pick the contain up and I only pay when the sample is produced. That's a clinic that cares.

I went to Fertility Solutions for about a year before deciding to stop using their care. They failed to properly inform me of most things. They will watch you fail and fail without telling you "it is time to try another option" until you literally call and message saying it's not working, what else can i do? What should I do? They will say "we can't tell you what to do, it's up to you to decide". Ok, but you are the specialist, I am there for YOU to tell me what is my best option, what is my best chance. The give you such hope in thinking success and then act like you are stupid (for lack of better phrasing) for asking questions and not understanding what changes you should make or things you should do different. I actually once even told a doctor "How do we know these things if you don't tell us?" We go there for them to guide us, not to watch us fail over and over and have to dig up all this info on our own because they are not giving us any.
They ignored my multiple request of saying I wasn't comfortable in self monitoring and would tell me I was "probably doing it right" and to keep trying until multiple failed cycles. When I did proceed finally with monitored cycles and during an IUI the doctor actually used these very words "I THINK it's in" because the kept flubbing and struggling to properly inset the tube. The last thing any patient ever wants to hear is "I THINK it's in".
The billing was a headache. I would have to call and message multiple times to get them to take payment. I should not have to chase them to take my payment on time seeing as if you're not paid on time, you don't get treatment.
My only positive is I loved the nurses. They were always kind and understanding and while drawing blood or just talking to you, you could tell they wanted you to succeed and were as kind hearted as anyone I have ever known.

By far the best fertility clinic. Extremely professional, clean, on time. It's a women run clinic which is amazing. Each time you have bloodwork and ultrasound it's the actual doctors doing it not tech assistants. I can't recommend them enough.

The staff and the doctors are wonderful! Dr. Huang was scheduled to perform my egg-retrieval and embryo transfer and she was extremely kind and hopeful. I am now expecting a baby boy in April 2018.I recommend this place highly! I had no billing issues. Their cost of IVF is very reasonable.

Good luck trying to get an appointment at this place. You would think they would be extremely responsive as these services are extremely expensive, and there are many fertility specialists in the area. My OB highly recommended Dr. Huang, so I was eager to get in to see her. I leave a voicemail to set up an appointment, no call back. Send an email through their website, no response. Call again, hey transfer me and put me on hold for 7 minutes, then hang up on me. I call back (this is at about 11am on a Wednesday), and they have turned on their 'outside of office hours' answering service. I've given up on this place. seems they are too busy or aren't looking for new patients.
