Planned Parenthood - Ann Arbor

Best clinic ever!! For years at other places I was begging doctors to please medicate me for an IUD insertion I was mocked and invalidated. But this place, I didn't even have to say anything. They knew it was a painful procedure. They offered me sedation, no argument no fight. I felt so safe there. I never felt so much relief. My pain finally was believed and taken seriously. The IUD insertion was so smooth with the medications, I didn't even notice they put it in. They then took me to a recovery room where they had recliners, heating pads and snacks ready. Please do yourself a favor and come here.

I had an excellent experience at Planned Parenthood Ann Arbor. Everyone was friendly, comforting and ensured I felt self and comfortable through my entire visit. I had lengthy wait times, as expected, but I am thoroughly pleased with the level of care provided. Would recommend to anyone seeking services that they provide.

Quite honestly...I had previously come into this Planned Parenthood distressed from being in an abusive relationship with my ex boyfriend with him standing over my shoulder, and I had asked the staff at the front office if they did abortions at this location...the staff told me immediately they did not and were extremely rude so rude he had made me cry, I had absolutely no words I then asked him if he knew of any locations that did he then again said no with just a lack of care for his position or job in general.

And trust and believe...I barely do reviews, I'm a very understanding person and hope people will treat me properly just as I am.

I returned to my primary care doctor's office and they booked an appointment at THAT LOCATION.

I had told my doctor, that cant be right and then they said, NOPE it is right call them immediately after this appointment.

I went in for my appointment with planned parenthood and the people at the front desk were different and honestly so great to me, I was having a panic attack because I had never gone through this before. A nurse had lead me into the back and said she needed to draw my blood for the procedure, I told her she wouldn't be able to find my veins because I have bad veins and she looked me dead in the eyes, rolled her eyes and said very rudely "Do you even want to be here" " because there are other people who are here"


I walked right out of there.

I highly recommend this location and am eternally grateful for all the help I have received. Everyone was very understanding and informative and I could not have asked for more. I have never had such a good experience in a medical type setting. Planned Parenthood has helped not only me but plenty of my friends and family for a variety of services, seriously an amazing place.

I loved this place. I will say that my original appointment was only supposed to take a max of 3 hours and it took 6 but that didn't cause any problems for me personally but is probably something to be aware of. (My follow up appointment took maybe 20 minutes from check in so I would say the backlog the first day might be unusual.) I was lucky timing wise and didn't have to deal with protesters though I know they had been out before I got there, they do have someone to walk with you if you're uncomfortable and absolutely everyone there was so kind. My appointment and follow up went well and I highly recommend this facility. Bring something to do if you don't want to watch Pirates of the Caribbean over and over.
