Women's Clinic of JCMG

Went to my gynecologist for a check up and asked to have my Vitamin D checked. She said she didn't know anything about that. After going to another doctor, I found out my levels were extremely LOW. I also asked to have my hormones checked, she said that was unnecessary. I won't go back. I ended up going to Capital Regional and found a doctor that actually listened to me. If your doctor won't listen to you, go somewhere else. Don't waste your time or money at JCMG..

Dr. Rodeman is good. Everything else…. terrible. At my first appt we knew miscarrying was a possibility. I was instructed to call in if bleeding started. When I called the on call doctor that night said “If it’s not excessive and you’re not in pain you’ll just pass it in the toilet. Anything else you need?” No empathy. No sorry you’re going through this. Nothing. I had to do a blood test to make sure my hormone levels are down and have yet to hear about that almost 2 months later.

I've had many doctors as I've moved a lot, but this is by far the worst clinic I've ever been too. When I had a pediatrician he knew nothing about female puberty and the menstrual cycle. Then as I got older I experienced an issue with something they did and when I called to get it corrected they refused to set up an appointment and claimed there was nothing wrong without even seeing me. I went to another place and low and behold exactly what I said was wrong, was wrong. More so recently I called to set up a basic test because of family history and symptoms I'd been having and they refused to do the test at all because I wasn't 21 and according to them you cannot have cervical cancer before the age of 21. The incompetence of this clinic is beyond anything I've seen if you have anything more than a cold I suggest going elsewhere..

Dr's and staff have always been friendly, helpful and professional in the many years I have gone to JCMG. Occasionally I have had to cancel or reschedule an appointment. I try not to because if it is a wellness visit I may have a long wait for a new date. That is the way it should be. Emergencies and illness take precedence.
