I had a great visit. The staff was accommodating and friendly. I was nervous at first and they made sure I was comfortable and at ease. Will definitely keep coming back!

Dr. H did my laparoscopic surgery. I was so worried before I came in, but as soon as I walked into her office, she made me feel at ease, went over everything again, and I felt a lot better. The procedure went well, and the recovery was also seamless. I recommend her to all!.

If I could rate this place less than 1 star I would. I hope people will please listen to the low reviews of this place as they accurately describe this place, especially with the sneaky charges that they will try to place on you for services NOT completed. First I had to wait over two weeks for results and when I called the office myself to receive them the associate had no remorse. They will also try to get you to come in the office to explain completely normal results that could have been done over the phone so they can bill you once more. Do not recommend.\n\nAlso have reached out for an administrator as stated in response below and they were unavailable.

Review of Brooklyn GYN Place from Jessica Gallagher

I had a horrible experience here and can echo what other bad reviews listed regarding costs. I went in for my annual and to discuss having my IUD removed and getting a new one. My insurance covers any form of birth control, including the IUD. I've never had to pay for one. My insurance also covers any type of visit that would be associated with the IUD as well. The front desk let me know that it would cost $1,800 because I hadn't met my insurance deductible—however as I mentioned—this is covered 100% by my insurance and no deductible needed to be met. I called my insurance to confirm this, which they confirmed. I called the office to let them know this, but they remained firm on the $1,800. I called my insurance back. I spent over 2 hours on the phone with my insurance. They even called the office themselves to let them know that this was 100% covered. It turns out that the office was trying to use the wrong billing code and bill the IUD as something else. I assumed the disagreement was handled, only to show up for my appointment and have them tell me that it would now cost $1,500. I reminded them that my insurance called and spoke to them about how it was 100% covered, and they said that (of course) there were no notes in my file. After asking me to wait—I'm guessing they called my insurance—they then said that it would cost $280. At this point, I'm incredibly frustrated and decide to just pay it and deal with reimbursement later. That's when they tell me that they don't even have my IUD because the specialty pharmacy never shipped it. They handed me a card with the pharmacy's phone number on it and told me to call them myself to find out why they didn't ship the IUD. I'm supposed to call? That's not my job. Is there not anyone in that office who follows up on orders and checks inventory? Shouldn't they have caught that? Wouldn't that be on them to handle instead of me? I feel like I dodged a bullet—NEVER again..

Nadia is the best hands down! She’s so sweet and incredibly understanding. And Yvonne is a great doctor, very attentive and caring. I would absolutely recommend them both. They truly Handle With Care..

Will never go back. It was my first appointment and I was very nervous. I looked at a lot reviews to find a doctor or a PA I was comfortable with and made an appointment based on those reviews. The ultrasound technician did not introduce herself and did not explain the process. I had never had an ultrasound before and was extremely uncomfortable. She then didn’t leave when I had to get changed despite me clearly indicating that she should. I then waited a long time to see the PA. When I finally did, it was not the PA I made the appointment with, but instead a midwife who made suggestions about my weight that she even admitted were not scientific. I then waited again for a blood test which I told them I didn’t need, but was pressured into doing. Weeks passed and I received a letter saying I had to call them immediately because my test results were abnormal and it was vital to my health to come in. I called immediately and they said everyone was busy and no one could talk to me for 24 hrs. I was panicking and the receptionist told me to calm down and that there were other patients waiting. I spent the next 24 hours thinking the worst. The midwife then called me to tell me my test results were fine, but my family history put me at a high risk. I knew that. I’m the one who gave my family history. When I asked to confirm that was all the letter was regarding she said yes. When I explained that I spent the past 24 hrs thinking I had cancer, her response was “ok.” Please go somewhere else.

NOT TRAUMA INFORMED.

I went for a PCOS screening a few months ago. I checked in at the front desk and waited in the lobby. When my name was called, I was taken straight into the ultrasound room. I was instantly reprimanded for not giving a urine sample - but nobody had ever given me a cup or told me to provide one! After this I was told to put the gown on and get in the stirrups. I was shocked by this - nobody took the time to introduce themself, speak to me or gain any sort of insight into my situation before performing this sensitive and pretty invasive procedure (it's not simply an over-the-belly ultrasound). When I questioned this, I was told that the doctor can't see me until they perform this exam - but why should this mean that nobody takes any time with me pre-exam? As someone who has experienced sexual trauma this was harrowing for me. I was in tears as they performed the exam and nobody addressed it.

After the exam I went to the regular exam room where the doctor seemed extremely rushed and almost bothered that I was there. I gave blood for the tests and went on my way.

When I came back a few weeks later to get my exam results (as scheduled), the doctor was surprised to learn that my exam results weren't even in yet. I was sent home and told to call back for the results. I had taken a half day from work for this appointment, and doing so is really hard in my field of work. Nobody checked to see whether the bloodwork was ready pre-appointment or thought to call to prevent this pointless trip in.

I should add that I carefully picked out a doctor online and booked an appointment with her on the practice's website. When I got to the appointment, it was an entirely different doctor than the one I had scheduled the appointment with. I was told that the doctor I chose doesn't work at this office. I have no idea why this was a scheduling option if the doctor isn't ever in. Very confusing and disappointing.

One star for the doctor not rushing to prescribe me meds to treat the PCOS right away.

Overall i wouldn't recommend this practice to anyone. Really horrible patient care and practice. I was really hoping this place would prove its negative reviews wrong - it definitely did not. Especially when 1 in 4 women have experienced sexual trauma, OBGYN practices have a responsibility to do better. Taking time with your patients goes a long way.

Sooo happy I found this place! After reading the reviews I thought it was too good to be true, but they exceeded my expectations! My appointment started on time. The nurse/sonogram tech was thorough and made me feel extremely comfortable. Dr. Yvonne is amazing! She was patient, detailed oriented, sympathetic and kind! She made sure I completely understood what was going on, as well as all my options. I also really appreciated how far she went into detail about how things work and really took the time to ask every question I had, and I had a lot! Really glad I found this place. I feel like I'm finally on the road to reclaiming my health!

Review of Brooklyn GYN Place from Da S.

Please trust all bad reviews of this place. I had never been moved to write a review until I had the unfortunate experience of visiting this office. Upon my entrance, the front desk personnel was highly condescending and spoke to me as if I was incompetent when it was my first time ever visiting. She handed me a urine test with little to no explanation of what they were testing for; however, there is a sign stating that all patients are required to take a urine test.. which is whatever. Overall, the entire office has a rude and condescending aura.

Then I proceeded to a room for a transvaginal ultrasound, and that woman was one of the vilest people I've ever encountered. She didn't introduce herself, say hello, or manage to say anything beyond take off your clothes. Lack of bedside manners is one thing, but this experience was incredibly dehumanizing. I've seen cattle being treated better. In addition, she didn't even have the decency to step out of the room and wait for me to undress, and despite my visible and vocal disturbance, she decided to proceed as if I was inconveniencing her. She did not mention what she was doing for the purpose and didn't even allow me to view the screen.

I have received transvaginal ultrasounds on many occasions, but none as degrading as this. When I winced in discomfort and pain as she shoved the instrument up my vaginal canal, she became enraged when I asked her to be gentler. Once the procedure was finished, and I asked for a tissue or napkin, she suggested I wipe myself with the coarse exam table paper I was just sitting on for my ultrasound. The female doctor I spoke to was no better and had limited interest in my care until I mentioned the possibility of wanting surgery. If I were you, I wouldn't waste my time with this practice; they're many better options in the city that serve you and provide proper care without reducing you as a human being.

Review of Brooklyn GYN Place from Rachel C.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. I had an appointment scheduled online (1/24/22) and even contacted the office to request the appointment (and ensure they knew what I was coming in for). I told them I was a new patient and was interested in an IUD insertion.

As I got to my appointment (1/28/22), I was greeted by a polite front desk staff. Thing's went downhill when I was rushed into the back room with a "nurse" who kept asking "SO WHY ARE YOU HERE???", and before I could answer, she told me to take my pants off while she STAYED in the room on her phone. I thought okay, may this is just how she is. I informed her that I was here for an IUD insertion and I was a new patient (I have mentioned this 2-3 times by now and when I confirmed my appointment). She STORMS out the room and then comes back YELLING at (so other patients could hear), "She's NOT on her period, not even sure why she's here..." I was APPALLED. She then tells me to out my clothes on and go to he front desk. The front desk (NOT THE DOCTOR) tells me that the doctor refuses to see me, even though I filled out the new patient form online with all of the correct information. I traveled 1.3 hours and took off of work for this appointment. Why did the DOCTOR not read my chart before the appointment and let me know? This is incompetent service and honestly I'm beyond disappointed. Based on what I've seen, I wouldn't trust them with any medical services. DO NOT GO HERE.

The secretaries and medical assistants are nice, but I was very disappointed with the bedside manner of both doctors I've seen here. I was confused because the first doctor I booked an appointment with through Zocdoc was not the person I ended up seeing. I was assigned to a midwife whose bluntness was excessive and felt rather dismissive. She seemed like she was trying to spend as little time with me as possible. The second time around, I saw a doctor who was really not much better. She seemed to be annoyed that I had questions. I'm going to be looking for another place in the future.

This place is terrible. The staff are beyond rude. I waited 1.5 hours for my appointment, only then to be told to go into the examination room and get undressed... and then they left me there for another 45 minutes. I actually had to call reception and tell them I was in the examination room, BECAUSE THEY FORGOT ABOUT ME. Its so bad it's funny... but not funny.

I now have battled with them for 6 months to try and get my medical records and they keep putting me on hold and leaving me hanging. Honestly, dont go here
