Planned Parenthood - Bronx

It’s my first time here today for iud insertion and at first it was okay. Staff is nice and the place looks nice and clean but I have been here since 12:40pm (1pm appointment but when I click details for my appointment it said 12:40pm so I came early.) and it is now 2:40pm and still have not gotten my 5 minute procedure done. Nurses told me my doctor was on an hour break. If they have an hour break, why schedule me during it? I can’t believe how long this is taking..

I have to say, this staff is the most wonderful crew I have ever interacted with in any doctors office or any establishment actually. From the initial phone call, to the front desk staff, to the techs, to the providers. Just absolutely WOW. So much kindness, love and care. I was in shock as to how wonderful everyone was. Such a beautiful example of women uplifting and supporting each other. This was beautiful. And especially when the nature of many of the visits are so sensitive, every person handled me with so much care, respect and light heartedness. 10/10. 🫶🫶🫶 thank you all!!.

I’ve been to the Bronx location 3 times and my experience was amazing. The doctors, nurses, assistants, technicians, front desk, and everybody else that helped me were amazing. The security guard on the 3rd floor is so nice too!!!. I had to go 3 times to attempt to get my IUD inserted. My uterus was not happy with it and that’s why I had to go so many times. Everytime I went the providers were very nice and patient with me. The last time I went (3rd time) they scheduled me to insert it using ultrasound as guidance and put me under local anesthesia (It was really painful the first 2 times). It was the best thing ever. This place is really empowering women and helping them through pain. I’m so thankful for the service they provided and I’m so thankful for every staff member. I didn’t feel a thing and was so surprised when the doctors told me they inserted it. I called them my Angels and I really mean it. Thank you!!!!

Showed up for my appointment on time and wasn't let into the center because "'they' were in a meeting" I explained the concept of an appointment time, and wasn't even permitted to wait in the waiting room. It was suggested to wait outside (in 20 degree weather) for an hour and a half and come back. This appointment had been made over 3 weeks in advance and I took off work to travel over an hour for treatment. This is already the worst pp experience I've ever had, and the reason for the visits is already pretty unpleasant.

I just left this location, I popped in quick for an exam and a check up. The staff was absolutely lovely, they all greeted me as I walked by and said hello (all of them!) even if they weren't helping me directly. They were very helpful and all made me feel extremely comfortable! Thank you for the positive experience!

It's an okay site. When you call, they tend to lack professionalism. I also hate that when you walk in, it's like you're having a conversation with the entire waiting room. Most times, they ask you to speak up and repeat what you're saying. Before you can gain entry, they also have you go through a metal detector with a security guard and it's very creepy.

For me, and in my opinion, the site is already in a building -- with a security guard in the main lobby. I don't want to feel like I am in jail or going to a jail visit simply to purchase a Plan B or see a doctor. It's too much.

I was nervous and untrusting when I came here for my regular STI testing to save a couple of dollars. The reviews I read prior to arriving at this location made me think I would have the same bad experience but I did not. Everyone here from front desk, security, lab staff, nurse practitioner were beyond gracious, professional and helpful. I didn't have to wait a lot. I was checked in on time and my privacy was well protected. I was done with all my process in ONE hour. I promise if you are a woman especially in a vulnerable situation and you need compassion and privacy, go to this location. It's not in a great neighborhood but it is not reflected in this clinic.

The worse PP ever. Wait time is horrendous and customer service is terrible. They make an appointment and they expect you to know that you have to register 5 minutes before your appointment time?!. Mind you, I came in half hour before the appointment time and told the front desk my name and the time of my appointment and the front desk girl said to have a seat. That girl never mentioned ANYTHING about registering 5 minutes before the appt. time. It was 2:36pm and all these ppl that came after me was already being called. I had to come up to the front desk at 2:40pm and ask why was I not called as of yet. That's when the front desk girl tells me that I have to register 5 mns before appt. time. Like really!!

Being at this center was a unexpectedly great experience! The staff are very professional, but still friendly, and accommodating. The place it's self is clean and tidy. There was not to much noise, and NO children running around which i was glad for. My experience with the doctors was pleasant my doctors were very attentive and took the time to listen to me when i spoke, asked the right questions, but still it didn't feel intrusive at all I was told i had the option to not answer any questions if i didn't want too. Big plus for me was they were Quick and Efficient! I was out of there in a flash.

This center has made taking care of my gynecological needs simple and easy. Ladies, fellas, or however you identify if you need any kind of reproductive health I could not more highly recommend this center. The staff is kind, straightforward, and diligent. The center itself is safe and clean. Even if you can't afford to see a doctor, go see them and they will take care of you.

Highly recommended.
