I had such a great experience with Kindbody Austin and Kindbody LA. I started my journey in LA with an egg retrieval cycle 6 years ago. Last year we moved to Austin and started our IVF cycle. Dr. D (who is not there anymore) was so great and all the nurses team were helpful and knowledgeable. We successfully got pregnant on the first try and I delivered my baby girl in March. We will return in a year and half to try for our second baby..

Once you’re a patient, it’s easy to communicate with staff via the online portal. The nurses, physicians and staff were informative and friendly. There are a lot of time sensitive tasks with IVF and the staff made sure I knew exactly how to complete each step with confidence..

Where do I start!\n\nKindbody has been Kind to me! Seriously by the grace of god my husband and I were able to find out his employer which omg a blessing in itself when I had my virtual appointment with Dr. Mehta went so well I felt heard in every aspect. I felt comfortable speaking with her about recent experiences with Doctors offices.\n\nThis journey has been so beautiful and stressful at the same time having the staff to talk to with my feelings and questions because I wasn’t able to really express to them the gratitude that I felt/feel! Huge shoutout to Morgan, Meghan, Alex, and Caitlyn. Omg huge support system. Even taking the time to answer my questions when they are not on the clock! So good! Also Alycia with Scheduling just the whole entire team! I felt taken care of and thought of everyone I walked in . Especially driving from San Antonio to Austin. I’m am so beyond grateful I can’t say it enough I know that my babies are in great hands while they bake lol.\n\n10/10 service 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾😌\n\nUpdate: after 1 amazing cycle to A SUCCESSFUL FET! With everything in my being I wish I can give kindbody Atx 100/100 I’m am beyond grateful and happy that I was able to conceive with this amazing group of ladies! For starters, their communication sucks, relying solely on messages through their internal system instead of contacting me directly.
On top of that, when my wife was going through a two week long procedure, I had to take off of work to care for her during and after the procedure. I requested Kindbody to fill out FMLA paperwork to cover me for being out to take care of my wife and they refused to do so, saying that "the male gender is not eligible for FMLA." So, what I am getting from this is that I am not going to be covered for taking care of my wife during the time she is going through any medical treatment from this company. Do NOT use Kindbody if you do not have someone else that can care for your spouse during treatments in your absence.

I was excited and nervous going into this process, but everyone was so sweet and easy to talk to. As someone who doesn’t like doctors office because of the sterile and uncomfortable feel of it, Kindbody has such a calming atmosphere so I immediately felt comfortable. They’re amazing at what they do, and thanks to them we are now expanding our family 🥹 Im still in disbelief by how amazing it this experience has been. I’m so thankful for each and everyone that has been a part of our journey.

The communication was beyond terrible.
I missed out on fertility windows due to this.
A lot of the time, several different nurses and the doctor would reach out with conflicting information.
This whole experience felt really impersonal.
Unfortunately, the experience with this clinic has discouraged me from continuing my fertility journey.

I went through the egg freezing process in May 2022
Dr. Deborah Ikhena-Abel is wonderful, which should matter the most, but there are several reasons why I would never use Kindbody again.
Last year I froze my eggs with Kindbody and this year we are working with a different clinic because our insurance changed and does not cover Kindbody. In the process off transporting eggs that were frozen with Kindbody last year, Kindbody has been horrible.
I don't know what's going on at Kindbody but it took 14 days and me citing potential legal action if they do not respond and provide the information I need to start the egg transport process, as I am working to ensure the eggs get transported in time with another round of embryo freezing.
The office is so hard to get in touch with - yes there's a portal but if you need to talk to someone at the office you have to call the general phone number, listen to the prompts, connect to your local Kindbody, and then wait for someone to pick up, which also does not happen often enough.

I saw many great reviews for Kindbody and only wanted a Pulse Assessment- nothing crazy. So, I book my appointment online and it was rescheduled (I kid you not) 5 times.
First time- clinic was going to be closed for construction
Second time- moved to a different time on same day because of egg retrievals
Third time- REI provider had to have surgery unexpectedly
Fourth time- my original appointment type was changed to a different appointment type so I had to ask them to change it back to what I had originally scheduled for which means rescheduling for a different day
Fifth time- Date that I rescheduled from the fourth time via the chat was different than the confirmation email that I got so I asked, and they confirmed the correct date but moved the time
First appointment scheduled for December 20. Appointment I actually went to was February.
That's not even the end of it.
I go to my appointment and everyone was very nice. The place is very clean and welcoming. The technician was great; she walked me through everything and was very detailed.
The technician found a cyst that she pointed out. She said it's worth getting it looked into. Makes sense. So, after the ultrasound, the nurse practitioner comes in. The first question she asks me is if there's any way I could be pregnant. I told her no. There are several reasons that I knew I could not be pregnant. She asks if I'm sure. Yes, I'm sure. She shows me the picture of the ultrasound of the cyst and says that usually that's what an ectopic pregnancy looks like. I'm like okay but I'm not pregnant. So we do a pregnancy test just to be safe. The technician that did my blood work came out and told me it was negative. I already had an appointment scheduled with my OB for the following week so I would have her check it out.
That night, the nurse practitioner calls me and tells me that she received my blood work and it was negative. She then continues to say that she's never seen anything like this and that the cyst does not look good. She is unsure what it is and suggests I go to the emergency room. I'm taken aback and scared now. She asked if I was in any pain, and I said no; I never have been. She continues to suggest I go to the emergency room or see my OB asap. I tell her I have an OB appointment next week. She said I should get in sooner. After we hung up, she sent me the ultrasound pictures and yet again suggested I go to the emergency room. So at this point I don't know what to do. I called my OB to see if they had an after-hours appointment that I could go to but couldn't get ahold of anyone. I didn't want to be up all night worrying about this, so I go to the emergency room.
The ER doctor thought the whole story sounded weird. He wasn't trying to discredit anyone, but it just didn't add up to him. He suggested we just do another ultrasound and blood work. After the blood work came back with another negative pregnancy test, he got ahold of my OB who was actually on call. She said if the pregnancy test was negative, no need for the ultrasound. So he cancels the ultrasound and sends me home. He also looked at the ultrasound pictures from Kindbody but didn't seem concerned.
Thoroughly shaken after being in the ER, I go home. The next morning I get a message from the nurse practitioner at Kindbody telling me she spoke to several other doctors and none of them have seen a cyst like mine with a negative pregnancy test. She suggested it might be an anomaly and said to follow up with my OB.
I go to my OB, explain everything to her, and I do an ultrasound with her. I get the results from that ultrasound back that the cyst has shrunk and is nothing to worry about.

Going to Gyno is never the easiest experience since it can be uncomfortable but Kindbody makes it so easy. I love the ambiance of the clinic along with the staff. Staff is super friendly and providers are on time and appoints are so quick!

Love this place had a great experience. I felt really bad and nervous before going because I knew I was the one with complications, but going in and getting tested and getting all the information and different ways I can get help I felt so much better after this appointment. The three places I went before didn't even give me options and really break things down I felt like a number with them but I know Kindbody will help me and my husband and I'm looking forward to this journey and I'm not afraid or uneasy anymore. I'm so happy I found this wonderful place.

Everyone was so nice! It doesn't feel like a Drs office. I mean seriously, the place is gorgeous. Dr Deborah was phenomenal. She explained everything in a way we could really understand and cared about our questions.
We left feeling well informed and well cared for. We've been to another fertility clinic in Austin and felt unheard and like just another couple bro get through.
Also, we got to do all our testing and blood work done at the same time. It may not work out that way for everyone but the timing aligned which was perfect since it's a 40 min drive from our house. Totally worth it imo.
Lastly, as a WOC, having an all women and mostly WOC team made me feel extra cared for.

We are going through IVF, the procedure itself involves a lot of time and pain injections, pills, ultrasounds, blood work, everyday to every three days. We were lucky to have done it with Kindbody. The facilities are well equipped, beautifully decorated, the staff is very courteous and responsive. The receptionists, the billing staff, the nurses, PA and doctors are the best. All our appointments have been on time. All our questions and concerns have been addressed thoroughly and the communications with all the staff have worked nicely, including once that my wife was at ER, the nurse (Sally) took really personal care of us.
