After reading the poor reviews of this practice, I feel obliged to share that my extensive time working with FCD was nothing short of wonderful. Knowledgeable staff, compassionate nurses and doctors and now 2 beautiful children of our own. Dr. Putman walked us through several steps with clear guidance and Dr. Zhang was an amazing embryologist for us that answered many questions. We are so thankful for everything they do!

This review is based on my interaction with the person who answered the phone number at 214-823-2692.

I am a 30 something y.o. interested in elective egg freezing so I can preserve my fertility for a later date. I called to ask if the clinic has statistics on their oocyte cryosurvival rate (the rate at which the eggs survive freezing and thawing), and I was told that this information is not shared with people who are not established patients. I said that this is sketchy and that I need this information in order to determine if I want to become a patient. And the receptionist told me that I don't have to work with them then.

I find it appalling that information that should be readily available for people for a very big decision like this is not being shared even when asked, and even worse, you're told that you don't have to come to this clinic if you find it strange that such information is not made available.

At the time of our last visit to this practice, we were an expecting couple; now we're happy parents.

One fine appointment, Dr. Putman suddenly said that we would actually be expecting triplets. It was a shock to be sure, but we handled it well and started to mentally prepare ourselves for that possibility. The very next appointment, he said that we didn't have anything at all - delivered with probably the worst bedside manner of any physician:

"I wish I had better news for you."

Devastated, we went downstairs to the imaging center on the first floor just to get a second opinion, and they very clearly showed us that everything was well. They were compassionate, kind, and they compared to the equipment upstairs at FCD, theirs looked like it was from Star Trek.

Needless to say, we never went back to FCD.

I write this for other expecting parents because I know this is a sensitive time in their lives, filled with a combination of hope, joy, and constant worry. Knowing this, I would hope that a physician would carry himself with at least a modicum of compassion. Dr. Putman instead has the bedside manner of a boiled turnip. His lack of emotions is superseded only by the lack of up to date equipment used in his office.

If you do have to go here for some reason, and you get some kind of bizarre and dire readings, please get a second opinion from the imaging center on the first floor.
