Review of Planned Parenthood - Southwest from Sarah C.
I was running late for appointment.
I called to let them know.
I was told it's a :15 min grace period.
I needed this appointment because it is hard to get off from work. This wasn't for a serious procedure or abortion, it was a simple check up.
I was at the door at 5:44p which is locked upon arrival, confused as to what button to push and it was within my :15 min grace period.
I wasn't let into the building until 4:45p.
I wasn't spoken to or could approach someone at the windows until 4:46p.
Clearly I'm watching the time because I'm aware of the grace period.
Then someone came around the corner to let me know they already "no showed" me.
I understand protocol. I understand what :15 min is.
To disregard the fact that I was here within that time and they clearly no show me before I can even get into the building is WRONG. No show me after 5:45p and I'm not at the door or in the building. Not while I am outside waiting for someone to buzz me in and help me once I get in.
This experience was terrible and gets a 1 star because the 15 min grace period was not honored and the staff were not worried about me or my long waited appointment. The focus was themselves and getting home, which is human but unprofessional at the most since they were still on the clock.

I was planning on giving a bad review because of the miscommunication on which services this location provided but dimeka really switched things around for me. She was very down to earth, so sweet and caring. She was very gentle taking my blood. They also like to reiterate what procedures and services you'll be receiving ( which can be annoying) but shows how professional they are. The wait time was none. The moment I clicked submit on my echeckin, Dimeka opened the door and was ready for me.

Will talk out the side of their necks to support a fellow NP that caused nerve pinching during a nexplanon insertion. Sat there for 2 hours waiting (with a set appt time) for a NP to tell me iTs A cOnCiDenCe that nerve pinching and finger numbness/tingling started as soon as I got the nexplanon inserted. Have had nexplanon 3 times prior (9 years) and NEVER had any issues but 1st time doing it in Texas and supposedly nexplanon just "might not be a good birth control for me". Wish I could do no stars.

I started coming here for feminine issues instead of my pcp bc I liked the quality of care I was receiving. It was quick clean and friendly, I genuinely felt like I would be taken care of if I came here. Well, that was over a year ago and I'm sad to say it's gone downhill ever since. At one visit, I was left naked from the waist down sitting in a room for OVER AN HOUR waiting bc they forgot about me being there. The next time I again waited two hours after my scheduled appointment to start. Would not recommend to anybody ever. Just find a different location or a new doctor cause you won't find good care here.

I chose this Planned Parenthood location since with tolls Bellaire isn't too far from me . I went there originally a few weeks ago to get an IUD inserted. It was extremely clean and from the moment you walked in everyone was very professional. I had the pleasure of meeting the Nurse Practitioner, Lisa. She took the time to explain everything to me, and also went above and beyond with making sure I understood the process before and while she was inserting the IUD. I recently went back to get an annual well women's exam, and she went above and beyond once again! I have never had a Provider except a specialist that took the time to sit with me, and find out more about what I was going through personally outside of my visit. I thoroughly enjoy this location, from the cleanliness, to the supportive genuine staff I recommend this location. It has been an overall good experience but more so because Lisa really took the time to hear me out and encourage me. She's full of compassion and empathy and genuinely a kind person. God bless her.

Not the worst. Won't say what I came in here for but it was clean and tidy and a quickie! I was out like a flash. Yes, I would return if I needed to but I doubt it will happen again in the future. Lessons learned after that visit! Thank you and keep it up! Great customer service and staff.

I was treated horribly. I went in for a birth control consultation and after telling the nurse all of my problems with previous birth controls, she told me that I was wrong about all of it. She claimed that it was just my own issues and the birth control wasn't at fault at all. She gaslit me on behalf of my birth control???? She then told me that the horrible mood swings I experienced just mean that I need therapy. She didn't recommend any birth control options, instead telling me that I just need to do the trial and error method with it. When she left the room I started crying because of how stupid she made me feel.

This place does not follow hours posted they close 30 minutes to an hour early at times. An older black woman turned me away several times within the span of one week and told me I must have an appointment, I've asked to speak to supervisors to get an appointment at this point but she tells me Thee are no openings WHAT. She's very rude and I should not have to suffer health wise because people feel they don't need to do their job. This place is supposed to help women like me and I've been in need for weeks. This is the last straw. Today I tried to come and they're closed 45 minutes before their posted time! I'm done don't come here. Barely sanitary anyways inside.
