Mother and Child

Tasks of the Center:

• Implementation of instructions of the President of the Republic of Belarus and the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus, measures of State Programs aimed at supporting motherhood and childhood, orders and decrees of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, minimum social standards in the field of health care and territorial programs of state guarantees aimed at maintaining and strengthening health and improving the quality of life of the population.
• Coordination of the activities of maternal and child health services, the development and implementation of measures that provide modern approaches to the prevention and medical examination of the population, early diagnosis of diseases, strengthening the health of the female and child population, increasing the efficiency and quality of specialized medical care.
• Conducting scientific research aimed at the development and implementation into practice of modern methods of prevention, diagnosis, treatment and clinical examination of the population, organizational measures to reduce maternal, perinatal, infant and child mortality, morbidity of women and children.
• Ensuring the unity of science and practice in the development and implementation of new methods of diagnosis, treatment, prevention and medical examination of the child and female population.
• Carrying out preventive and therapeutic and diagnostic measures to minimize complications of diseases of the perinatal period.
• Improving the quality of medical care for pregnant women with the development of life-threatening conditions.
  Building up high-tech types of medical care.
• Development and use of modern medical technologies for providing medical care to pregnant women.
• Ensuring the quality of laboratory diagnostics at the pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical stages.
• Introduction of resource-saving technologies into practice using the principles of pharmacoeconomics.
• Organization of the process of examination and treatment of patients as soon as possible.
• Provision of medical care for severe lesions of the reproductive system with the use and development of assisted reproductive technologies.
• Monitoring of congenital anomalies (malformations) in children (fetuses) in the Republic of Belarus.
• Development of measures for the prevention and timely detection of congenital anomalies (malformations) in children (fetuses).
  Reconstruction of buildings and structures and re-equipment with modern medical and diagnostic equipment.
• Improvement of information support of both the activities of the State Institution of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Mother and Child" and the service of motherhood and childhood in general.
• Promotion of the Child Friendly Initiative.
• Implementation of a set of measures to revive humanity and mercy as the fundamental principles of the medical profession and the formation of a corporate culture policy in the team.
• Increasing the responsibility of medical personnel for the consequences of the impact of their own lifestyle on the health of their patients.
• Organization and conduct of information events in priority areas in the work on the formation of a healthy lifestyle with an emphasis on the main risk factors and the culture of health.
• Organization of work on continuous professional training of medical and pharmaceutical workers and their receipt of qualification categories.
• Preservation of human resources, professional development, computer literacy, assistance to continuous education and professional development of specialists.
• Improvement of methods and technologies of personnel management.
• Training of personnel of the highest scientific qualifications in obstetrics and gynecology, neonatology, pediatrics, medical genetics.
• Improvement of working conditions, strengthening of preventive focus, provision of measures to reduce levels of occupational risk.
• Optimization of measures to strengthen the economy, reduce losses and wasteful costs.
• Improving work with citizens' appeals and preventing violations of current legislation.
• Implementation of labor and social guarantees to secure highly qualified workers.
