Intended parents can only work with one carrier at a time, but they may have as many as they need during the two years. Surrogate mother’s insurance premiums and medical expenses.

Intended parents will pay for their surrogate’s uncovered pregnancy and delivery medical expenses, including premiums, deductibles, copays, and prescriptions. This amount depends on medical circumstances and insurance and does not include IVF medical expenses or newborn medical expenses incurred.

• Surrogate prenatal care and miscellaneous medical expenses (for singleton pregnancy) — $2,500
• Surrogate delivery expenses (for singleton pregnancy) — $5,000
• Surrogate insurance premiums — $5,800 to $9,800

Surrogate pregnancy and delivery medical expenses: $13,300 to $17,300 

If the surrogate mother does not have life insurance or if her insurance is inadequate, you will provide a life insurance policy.
